Remove the stupid multi coloured led and you have a cheap parallel box mod with enough room for a mosfet, might even be enough room for a charging board in there.

mosfet? Why does everyone assume when they see a 3pin package it is a mosfet. It is more likely dual diodes to prevent stupid people assuming the batteries are meant to be in series and not in parallel and doing a Dave Dorn

And that, sir, is exactly what that package is. Both battery positives going to their own pins and no resistor is a dead giveaway. Well spotted sir!!
And do you have to have the box open when firing to see the LED lighting effect? Looks that way. What's that about?? <<<<< irrelevant with the colour options!
