Mine darkens as I get past half a tank left.. especially in my aero tank mega which I thought was because of the amount of juice it holds, therefore how long it's exposed to heat. I find it gets thicker when this happens. I wonder if PG evaporates faster than VG so as the PG vapes out and leaves VG behind which is thicker... There you go lol It is heat (heat a little of your liquid and see it change) plus some caramelisation and solids that don't boil away with the rest of the liquid. PG does have a lower boiling point than VG so may boil off before, I wouldn't like to say if that actually happens when they are mixed. I vape 100% PG and the liquid still darkens, less so with temp limiting and less so with no flavouring apart from a 0.25% of Ethyl Maltol, but they all darken. Nic darkens when oxidising which is accelerated with heat, but I doubt enough to explain how much darker the liquid gets.

I found this interesting as both me and wobble vape Red Astaire a fair bit, while mine stays bright red his always darkens in his tank ? I did say I reckon it has something to do with the fact he has 'beefier' mods than I do ? so was interesting reading this post.

Hi tonyarosey, all ejuice tends to go darker over time if left, Its a good way of telling the 'vintage.' Its fine to use for over a year or more. Personally, i think the 1 year use by date they put on the bottles is just to comply with EU reg's.
