liquid turning darker with use

Hello. 2 weeks now and no ciggies. Just vaping.
I have a question;  I use tobacco flavour juice. 1.8mg. Why is it that it turns a dark brown in the clearomiser?? Is this safe? Its a very light yellow colour straight from the bottle. I have a coil with the little wick inside of it...

It does that! Something to do with the heat of the coil I think. Perfectly safe to carry on vaping it. My juices always go darker in the tank.

Probably absolutely normal.
During the steeping process (i.e. when left in a bottle), the juice naturally darkens a little (oxidisation, amongst other processes).
What the juice is has a major effect on the colour temperature - both to the eventual depth of colour and the time it takes to mature.
The act of heating the juice speeds up oxidisation and this the main reason it appears darker.
Finally, there is the colour of the semi-transparent tank material - in your case blue - this may accentuate colour depth.

To add to what has already been said if your still on the same coil/wick after 2 weeks it may be gunked up causing the juice in the tank to darken a little.

Nicotine levels also seem to be a factor. I got some nic free Kingslayer which stayed perfectly clear.

My Juice isn't in my Tank long enough to change colour the rate I go through it!!!

I've found my juice goes darker after i get to the last sort of quarter of juice in the tank. I always thought it was because it was being heated, much of the water content evaporated leaving a slightly thicker consistency juice which will be a bit darker as the flavoring will be more concentrated if that makes sense.

no idea if I'm right, but I've never had a problem with it at all, found it safe to carry on and I rinse it out and refill once not much drips down when you turn it upside down to ensure i don't dry burn (ruins the coils/wick and burns when you breathe it)

Most juice will not contain water but pg,vg,nic and flavouring. The main reason the juice will darken is the coil elevating the temperature of the juice thus speeding up many chemical reactions such as oxidation. Many chemical processes will progress significantly faster as temperature rises. It wont make any difference to the liquids vapability (OED, a new word for you to add) it's mainly a cosmetic change, and may well actually improve the flavour a bit (if the juice isn't fully steeped)

As thatguy said it is a sign of a chemical change/reaction, it is normal and absolutely nothing to worry about, but not desirable IMO as I find it noticeably degrades the flavour of my tobacco liquid. It is just the heat, deposited of parts of the flavouring that have a higher boiling point or solid residue causing it. Since having the DNA40 with temperature limiting my liquid only gets a little darker than with other mods, about 30-50 % of the change.

My liquid doesn't darken much either VB. But it never lasts that long in the tank (still chain vaping), so maybe that's the reason.

I darkens with age though. I mixed a T-Juice Black 'n' Blue yesterday, then found some I mixed 3 weeks ago when I put it in the steeping cupboard. The older stuff is very much darker, but tastes fine. I think it is just a natural process. All my custard mixes start off pale yellow, but after 4-6 weeks steeping, they are orange.

Not a problem at all...........partially to do with caramelisation of the sugers in you juice. ( same stuff that cruds up your coil)

agreed with all above, check the coil if its gunked it will speed the process,basic like black soot will stain it,i usally find it starts to lose all flavour,give it a dry burn and wash it out or renew the coil solves it

And for Custard flavoured liquids they taste a lot better after a few weeks steeping. Not that any of mine tend to get a chance mmmm custard, gone, seems to happen a lot

Mine darkens as I get past half a tank left.. especially in my aero tank mega which I thought was because of the amount of juice it holds, therefore how long it's exposed to heat.
I find it gets thicker when this happens.

I wonder if PG evaporates faster than VG so as the PG vapes out and leaves VG behind which is thicker... There you go lol
