Its not a safety critical database they maintain behind the website, its a shopping site ffs, do you stop using the cornershop if the saturday lad/lass overprices beans AND sugar resulting in a 20p overcharge if you miss it?? AND since from Post #1 in this thread the inevitable outcome was predicted, we all took a punt in the hope our order slipped under the radar, the punt failed in most instances.. its not the end of the world.. and isnt stopping me from buying in future if it means i save a huge roll of cash on an item that would cost me 2x 3x or more in a uk retail outlet..
if the worst thing that happens to you this week is a fiver is out of your bank account for a few days after you tried to buy something you knew was too cheep your having a pretty damn good week on the whole imho..

At least having a representative from the company on here, we've an accessible contact to put pressure on if things do go botty up.

But not today it appears.

Did i expect the orders to be cancelled, yeah.

But honestly they were aware of the coupon problem from the last time and claimed to have fixed it and it wouldn't happen again, they knew from the last time the main issue was taking payment and then not refunding instantly.

They now claim the coupon code is months old and expired yet here it is posted by isabel22 just 44 days ago with no mention of expiry dates.

This time they sent me a ticket messages saying they wouldn't be taking payment and then hours later take the payment for both orders but only mark one as paid.

I know it will all get sorted out in the end but when 80% of the orders i've placed with a company result in me having to deal with customer services i have very little room left for sympathy or confidence in that company.

We're not talking about a mom n pop business with 2 employees here it's a largescale outlet with a full time compliment of staff.

I think we all knew this was going to happen - there is no such thing as a free lunch, I also bought a Mini Cloupor with no problems, the second main one, an order for the IPV4 did get delayed and they admitted liability and it is now enroute with a Mini Cloupor skin as recompense, and my SMY50w is in packaging.

The money isn't the issue it's the continued mistakes and gaffs.
If you have to go down to the local shop to ask why your paper wasn't delivered 80% of the time but you aren't charged for the papers would you continue to use the delivery service?

Yes they are more than big enough to to take the hit on this one, that's business. My time now checking my account, pay pal etc for the return is valuable too. If it was a small company or just started out then fair enough but no symphony here I'm afraid anymore.

My cornershop doesn't offer me something..........take my money............then say I can't have it..........and then hold onto my money for days.

And yeah.....a fiver doesn't mean a great deal to me but it does for a lot of people.

The dissy code was published on this thread allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/post/937049 three days ago Get Off My Cloud. But according to the Gearfail email it expired months ago. They will not be accepting or authorizing payment for the item when they already have. IMO its bare faced lies. More alarming is the company representative has logged on several times since this latest BS farce has surfaced but has chosen on this occasion not to respond. Maybe that's because she will be expected, by the company, to spout the same story as last week, code error, code expired sorry for your inconvenience, it won't happen again etc. Well folks tune in next week for another episode of come on down the price is right.

Yeah someone already pointed out they posted it as little as 3 days ago.
The post i linked to was the first time they posted it so giving them the benefit of doubt on the age of the code it's 44 days old but yeah if it was valid 3 days ago and everyone ordered these items yesterday it seems daft to post a code that is only going to be valid for 2 days and not mention it's about to expire.
