Peeks in and says both my gearbest orders arrived within 6-8 days I know they've messed up recently but let's not get carried away. We all know the risks when shopping abroad, you pays yer money and you take a chance. No ones died and yes it's a pain in the rear, but there's worse things to worry about

Only problem being that Gearbest are making quite a lot of mistakes lately, have you tried PMing isabel22 about the issue Bob and getting her to resolve it for you as she mentioned that this was part of the reason for her being here on the forum.

I've only bought one item from Gearbest, a Kayfun v4, and it turned up withing 2 weeks. I'm not siding with them, just stating the facts. I really think they need someone like Doris who can step in and expedite things when the shoddy GB admin goes wrong, and they just need to realise that they are dealing with some experienced online purchasers here, who know what they're talking about, and stop fleecing people like Bob who seems to be getting some really bad luck at the moment

I ordered 8 items from them, i did get them all eventually ONE by One!!! wtf. Had to keep hounding them as well. I for one will not be tempted to use them again. It seems to me that they do not have the items themselves but just source the items from companies.

Just heard back from them re the SMY50W - seems they don't now have any in stock - yet when they took the money, it stated they would start checking it and packaging it ready for shipment which I should expect within 3 to 5 days (5th day was last Monday) - so I have asked them to cancel it and refund to PP

They are shooting themselves in the foot by being evasive, unhelpful and, imo, dishonest. I won't use them

I bought 2 ZNA 30s and an 18650 Kato during their recent sale. One of the ZNAs was perfect and the other has problems with threads. The 510 thread is so poor I could probably push an atty on without turning it.
The Kato is the worst example I've seen. Blemishes on the finish, way too loose threads and a button that didn't work at all. It has a countersink in the button that causes the contact pin to seat too high such that it's never proud of the delrin below.
The ZNAs were dirt cheap so I'm content to keep the crap one for parts. The Kato switch I fixed with a small washer. I can live with the sloppy threads and surface blemishes.
Every vender ships out duds. The reason I won't buy from GB again is their return policy. For the cost of paying for return shipping to China I would have been better off paying a little more up front and bought from a vender that pays for return shipping.

What's happened to Isabel she's not answering her PMs and she is usually very quick at getting back to people.

What's happened to Isabel she's not answering her PMs and she is usually very quick at getting back to people. She's probably packed it in. Or working. Seems like you just went for the standard shipping. Though you get a tracking number, it's usually for their use only, so won't work. There's an option to pay a quid or so more and have it properly tracked. 3 weeks is nothing to worry about as it's probably surface mail. I'm another who has had no bother at all with GB. My favourite Cloupor Mini, a brilliant Subtank mini, and various odds and sods have been delivered fine. About 6 orders. Everything "kicking off" was loads of people who jumped in on a kbox listed at the wrong price. The OP knew it was a mistake. Around £4. Then the refund debacle which took up dozens of pages. There will be more than that down the back of the car seat. All I'm saying is, if you have a problem go to Paypal. Then, if it's bad enough, don't use them again. Even robby had a mare with the sainted FT. Fair peed him off - quite right - and he posted about it. Again, quite right. I don't recommend any foreign site, unless the person knows what they are in for. But I will be using GB again if it suits.
