Hello! Quick one, never noticed my kanger VV do this before.. it's on charge, was red with quick green flashes as normal during charging.. Then suddenly went green and just before I could get up to disconnect it went red... then green.. then red with quick green flashes.. then slow switches between red and green! I am usually not sat next to my battery when it charges but I freaked out a bit and put it in a clip box to be safe! I filmed it briefly so you can see what I mean (link below) Is this the normal "final stage" of charging and I've never noticed before or is something wrong with this battery? I should also add - no heat from the battery or charger, just gently warm as normal. No sounds smells or anything from either. But won't use it till someone says it's fine lol!

i have seen the same at the end of a charge period with ego batteries charging off the usb port of my lappy, i took it for the thing being just about charged and if looking at it i was probably waiting for it so would pull and use more often than not but iirc if left will just charge on n off for a few mins and decide its charged Not a problem , more a 'feature'

Sounds like a poor contact between the battery and the charger. Give the contacts a good clean with a cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol (or nail varnish remover if you haven't any alcohol), let them dry for about 15 minutes then test again. The battery may take more charge, it may not.

Now I *am* getting paranoid ha.. It looks like part of the ego/510 cap on the vv is pushed up slightly.. Not sure if to get it swapped at the shop seeing as it's only a week old or I'm just being nervy

TBH, I'd swap it. It looks like the internal battery has expanded (which is not good).

i had old ego batteries go a bit lopsided like that after dropping a few too many times, the top is just glued/crimped in the tube, if you have dropped it a few times too then just stick a tall atty on top and use it as a lever to correct the lean, if you think it could be battery expansion take it back for replacement.

to be fair I did drop it yesterday. It's performing okay, charged okay (red/green flashing issue seems to have gone today) and its working, not heating up excessively.. will try not to drop it and keep an eye on it - if it gets even the slightest bit higher i'll go back to liberty flights, as they gave me a warranty on it. thanks all
