Right Much as I would love a low cost holiday in Tenerrife, I'm probably not the person to ask with building tutorials (yes I can do it, but its not pretty and why bother when Slowtech can give you pre made coils for pennies) But there is a big difference between the iclear16s that you are using now and a sub tank mini. And its not the ohms (been mentioned before now but on a VW mod the ohms are largely irrelevant - honestly if you gave me a 1.2ohm and a 0.5ohm sub tank coil I wouldn't be able to tell the difference at say 20w - because hey there isn't much pf a difference - the power being output should be the same). The difference is the draw and the airflow. The sub tanks and indeed all the current crop of sub ohm tanks work on lung inhales. If you try and mouth to lung like you probably do now on an clear you will cough up a lung doing so. Now once you learn to draw differently (basically you just breathe in) a whole different world of vaping emerges and yes it does taste better and hits harder. But if you don't like it the sub ohm tanks are a waste of time. Its all in the draw Oh me gould, well I've already ordered the kit so I suppose I'd better get used to it

if building the coils is looking a bit tricky then just buy 50 or more ready made ones from fsattech for a couple of dollars www.fasttech.com/p/2210100then its just a matter of securing them to the atty base and wicking them I really should learn to do it myself though

toots you are likely to cough first time. Just like you probably did with your first ciggy. Just draw like you're trying to siphon petrol from a tank.

I heard someone describing a DLI (direct Lung Inhale) as a reverse whistle - keep your throat open and inhale direct from tank to the bottom of your lungs. You will cough a bit the first few times, but soon you will be fogging the whole island up. I have recently got into a bit of sub-ohming with the Innokin iSub tanks, and they do open up a whole new world of flavour and vapour production. Once you get used to it, I don't think your i16s will get a look-in!!

chykensa - you're describing a lung hit MTL is what we used to do with fags - into the mouth first then into the lungs.

sorry to spoil the party but i think a direct lung inahle does not give you flavour at all, the flavour is mutued and weak compared to a dripper with a reduced chamber and small airflow, that is just my opinion though, even a subtank closed off the flavour was lack luster and meh just my opinion

I've never syphoned petrol from a tank I'd better start practising syphoning from my car then had I When I first tried smoking a ciggy I couldn't do it, coughed me guts up, so went on to those menthol consulate cigarettes just to be 'in' with the crowd - stooopid person

These tanks need power to work well - 20w+ - it won't burn if wicking well trust meToo right - they are incredible for not getting nasty burnt hits. How low you can go on them and still get a good vape? I'll try today and report back.

I've got an aero tank, a protank and a mini protank - can I practise doing lung hits with any of these tanks or not?
Haven't used them in months, they're just sitting in my vape cupboard. Might as well get some more use out of them if I can practise DLI with them.
