I'm considering getting one of these little babies in white www.fasttech.com/products/2385500 it is white even though it says silver, coz it's white on the kanger website. Problem is I've not used any sub ohming equipment before but am liking the look of the mod itself and those OCC heads with the Japanese cotton, but as I've never sub ohmed before what is the difference you get from using one of these say at 1.2 ohms to using my normal little iclears at 1.8 ohms? After vaping for just over 2 years now I do feel a little embarassed that I know absolutely nothing about sub ohming yet I don't like a lot of throat hit and I use almost 100% VG - if this sub ohming lark gives off too much throat hit then it's deffo not for me, so don't want to go ahead and put this beautiful little baby in my basket till I know for sure what sub ohming is really all about.

Sub ohming is less important in a non mech mod. Set the Watts you want and away you go. The Vape will be similar at the same watts whether you use a 0.5 or 1.8 ohm coil.
The reason I sub ohm in a VW device is it allows you to make your coils with much thicker Kanthal so they last ages even after repetitive rewicking as they are so robust.

I don't see temperature control on that toots, that would put me off it as I'm a total convert to TC. YMMV

What he Greg said! Thing is with the occ heads you might struggle with 100% VG, but you could add 10% boiled water to make it wick a little better. The kit comes with a rebuildable head that you can coil to whatever resistance you want though so you'll be able to find a build that works for you, but the .5 ohm build occ head really does give a great vape provided your juice is able to wick, I like to use mine about 25 watts with 50/50 juice but Im sure I could take it to 40+ watts no problem

There's a few been confuddled by that one. 'PCB over temperature protection' just protects the internal board from overheating. 'Temperature Control' - when it actually works - varies the power to your coil, to prevent overheating and burning.

Hmmm, I've not done any rebuilding of heads in my whole 2 years of vaping except a few little protank heads with pre-made coils so I haven't a clue what to do and how to do it or even what to use/buy to rebuild that's why I thought those OCC ones would be ideal for me. They've got fantastic reviews on FT as well, even for VG juice.

Ohhhhh I don't think I'd be using too high a wattage though, so hopefully I'll be ok If not I'll fry

the rba deck is a bit pants with 100%vg if you enlarge the juice channels it helps with wicking no end if you find the draw is a wee bit tight slot the 4 air holes in to 2 now running 0.3ohms on a mech with the rda and no dry hits on near nuff 100%vg and by heck its foggy in here they are ruddy close to a dripper with a tank and i would suggest adding a wee goblin to your cart as well for duel coil fun oh one last thing drop yer nic lev to half and make twice as much juice youll need it

I've managed to reduce down from 18mg to 3mg over the 2 years of vaping

What the heck does this goblin achieve then? Looking at all those chimneys though I wouldn't have a clue how to wick the thing Added to my wish list whilst I check it out on youtube My 'ol man is gonna have a heart attack when he sees all my new toys, he already thinks I've gone nuts
