Morning from America. Always wanted to write that lol
Anyhow may live in Florida but a Brit and that leads me to why I registered here.
I started vaping over 3 weeks ago and this has caused interest amongst my family at home.
Now remember just over 3 weeks ago you could have talked to me about atty's, carts. 18650's and all you would have receive a blank stare in reply. If lucky an eh ? So knowing how useful it was for me to actually go to a shop, well kiosk, and actually see stuff was a massive help was wondering about the state of play at home ?
My brother in particular seems interested but before I start to go through things that I have learned chapter and verse thought I would just take the temperature of how things are over there.
Haven't actually made it home in 5 years so well out of the loop. Actually my brother just returned to the UK after 4 years away. Guess it is a family thing.
I know that I can find Ego's and the odd very expensive juice locally but 99% of my kit is bought online.
Is it the same ? Would it be cheaper just for me to buy stuff and post it over ?
Cheers Andy

Andy Most of us buy our vaping supplies online too. There are shops in the UK but not many. A few of our approved online sellers in this forum also have their own 'High Street' shops.

Hi Andy I guess it depends on where in the uk he is ? General address works, we dont need his house number lol Theres a few bricks and mortar establishments about now, some of the suppliers we have on this forum will happily give you their number so he can call them to discuss what he needs rather than ordering online. If he would prefer that. He can get a small disposable, available in a few supermarkets like tesco, to try out and see if this vapeing lark is something he thinks could be for him. As for you buying it and posting it, anything over £15 may be subject to a customs charge even as a gift (I think) and with postage and exchange rates, it may work out easier for a starter kit purchased online with a uk supplier.

I am very familiar with the import tax situation. Used to import odds and sods into the UK when I lived there and eBay'd them.
Not that I am suggesting taking anything away from Her Majesty's Customs and Excise but I found if you use normal snail mail most of the time I got away with it. With expensive vape stuff though I guess I would go with a courier.
My brother is based in Suffolk over the weekend and I think Brighton during the week at the moment.

I have heard mention of those juices lately but I have no idea where to get them from. A very good "home grown" mixer is grizwald his juices are available at www.vapeescape.com I get most of my juices from paradise vapes.

It was Bounty Hunter that made vaping for me.
Must have been said here as well that people get caught up in the hardware side of things.
While it is true that hardware plays a part for me it was finding the alternative to cigs that made me want to vape. Not that I was doing bad I had gone from 20 to 1 a day but that juice turned me from a smoker that vaped to someone who vaped in preference to smoking.

Plotting a ProVari as I type.
All I have to do is hit a button. Trying not to but suspect that I will end up hitting it before the weekend is out.

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum... its pretty much like the states here where vaping is getting more and more popular but most of the vaping stuff is bought online. Jemima was correct for the customs import limit of £15 ($23) from a shop but if you were to send stuff as a gift then the limit is raised to £40. however we do have some fantastic vendors over here and once you take into account the shipping cost the prices arnt drastically different. we do lag behind the states for the shear variety of juice and i am still eager to try Bounty Hunter and Boba's Bounty but AVE or nitelitevapor dont ship internationally what kit are you using at the moment and what sort of thing were you looking at for your family... we can point you in the right direction then
