Can anyone please tell me where I can get a plastic tank sleeve for my kayfun? Have just cracked the original one. Would this cause it to leak as well as it is really bad. This is all new to me and have never had one of these rbas before.

Thanks ever so for the info. Have just tried it with the metal sleeve and its still leaking. Is it the wick I've put in? I've made sure the air channels are free but wondering if I didn't put enough cotton in. Would this cause it to keep leeking?

Where is it leaking from jacq, if its from the air hole on the base, hold it upside down, put tissue over mouthpiece and blow down air hole, have a quick fire up, this stops the leak for me, normally its just that the wick is over saturated If its from the threads from your centre piece, it could be the o rings have got a bit mangled, Hope this helps, Good luck Glen

Main causes of a kayfun leaking is pressure being compromised O=ring failure or o-ring missing, particularly the o-ring at the top inside of the tank where the chimney stem meets it Cracked tank Also, not enough wick will allow the juice to overwhelm the chamber and flood into the air hole

I've made sure the air channels are free but wondering if I didn't put enough cotton in. Would this cause it to keep leaking? As the Kayfun works on a vacuum, if you don't have sufficient wicking the central chamber floods, and the only way out for the juice is through the airhole. Where is the KF leaking from, jacq, this would help us to help you? If the leak is from the tank, then yes, the polycarbonate tank is damaged, but if the leak is from the holes then I suspect insufficient wicking material is causing the problem. EDIT: beaten to it, but confirmed diagnosis!!

Thanks both of you! Its leaking from the airhole. I'll try it with more wick. Think its brilliant apart from me making mistakes!! Put spearmint in it when the tank cracked, wish they did a glass tank coz I love the spearmint, I'm new to all this but learning fast.

jacq - what wicking material are you using? Remember that cotton will expand when it gets saturated with juice, but rayon doesn't so you can pack more of that into the coil. Once you get it right, the Kayfuns shouldn't leak and provided you dry burn the coil every two or three fills (or when you notice the flavour diminishinig), a coil should last for weeks, if not months.

Thanks ever so much for your help, really grateful! as long as you get the feel of how tight the cotton is in the wick right just feed the 2 ends through the sleeve, screw it on to the base then trim the ends off at about the width of 2 matches above the sleeve then gently poke them into place with out squishing the cotton too much. Thats how I do mine but theres more than 1 way to skin a cat.

Have just spent an hour trying to get the top o ring into place where the chimney goes! Is there a trick to this, managed to do it once ... not sure how but can't seem to get it in again!
