Nope, because it's not vapers they have to convince, its public health. And the chances of public health taking a study by big tobacco and and ecig company seriously is pretty much zero.

Then why were they both there ? Hell a serious debate . Also I have to disagree as much of the government get money from tobacco company's so in turn that ends up going into services like public health. Surely in the end vaping money will end up going the same route

Because it's in interests of vapers and BT to find out more about ecigs? I don't think gov will have much of an argument to tax ecigs as high as cigarettes. Public health don't want ecigs, what about all the time money and jobs they have invested in smoking cessation??

As usual the scale has been chopped/altered to make the results look greater than they actually are. That's a Spin Doctor's trick. In this case the results don't look to bad (visually), but if you look closer at the scales you'll see that if they'd been constant the results would be negligible.

ie. The first graph it looks, at first glance, like the results are around 25% of the WEI. If you adjust for the change in scale the results are more like 1.4% of the WEI. What they've done with the PG graph is even worse.

They love to play the optical trick, cos peeps fall for it.

This is still good news, but would be better if they didn't try and play tricks with us.

Even just a quick glance (no taking into account bias) would identify that the irritant in vapour is PG not nicotine

hence dry/sore eyes when you're around vapers for some folk - not all

Not harmful but not pleasant. Have actually been asked to stop vaping in certain places for this reason. And have experienced it self...

No probs with this study
