planning to buy my first rebuldable. Already have some 26 awg kanthal and a kuro coil maker on order.
Can't decide between these two. I don't want to sub ohm and plan to run them about 1-1.2 ohms.
I vape 50/50 but a lot of juice I want to try has 80% VG.
Can anyone help me decide between the two?
Anyone have both and have a preference?
I plan to order either an m80 or istick 50w to use with it (leaning towards the m80).
Thanks!

Of the two i would lean toward the Subtank Mini. I have both and the Lemo 2 just doesn't keep up on the wicking front as well as the Subtank does i think it's due to not enough of a gap between the outside wall of the RBA chamber and the inside wall of the glass, i use 70%VG juice and it's ok but you can't take any more than 5 hits before you have to leave it to sit and catch up. I've tried the trick of backing off the top cap so the bottom o-ring isn't getting squashed but it still doesn't wick as i would like. The top filling is handy but if you're only filling it 3 or 4 times max a day it's not a big enough bonus to mitigate the poor wicking, as you're vaping a lot more than you're filling. I've never had issues with wicking on the Subtank, i use a spaced coil and just make sure the cotton is just resting on the deck don't jam it down it'll be fine, also helps to pull the cotton away from the wall of the chamber too by a mm or so. There's a V2 now, only difference i think is improved airflow. myepack.co.uk/subtank-mini.htmlThat being said i still love the original Lemo and Lemo drop, for me both give better flavour than the Subtank due to the wider chimney stem, both are easy to build on and they keep up no problem with high VG juices. If i were to buy another Lemo i would purchase the old original one rather than V2 for performance.

Do you have to use the screw in the fill poet on the lemo one or is there an alternative? I heard the air flow control is a pita too?

All the ones i bought came with a silicone plug deal for the fill hole in the spares bag, it's like on a ring so when you screw the bottom on it holds the the thing in place, never bothered using it myself the screw isn't that big of a pain especially if your screwdriver has a magnetized head. I tend to just use mine with the airflow fully open but once you set it where you like it then it should stay in place, don't turn the screw just the little washer thing.

Fill hole plug Washer thingy you turn to adjust airflow, turn clockwise to close airflow, anticlockwise to open.

The drop version gives the best flavour due to the shorter chimney but it does need filling more often obviously. The fill hole on the V1 and the drop is quite small it's best to use a fill bottle with one of those syringe type needle caps like these. www.fasttech.com/products/3021/10002091/1842504

Jerri I had this debate for a few weeks. Yes Lemo's are popular right now but for a first rebuildable you need hijack's linky for the Kayfun Lite plus rebuildable clone by hcigar (they do some pretty good clones in my experience) as it comes with all the bells and whistles and is relatively easy to coil and wick...... If you don't want to sub-ohm this would be an excellent choice! I got mine last week and apart from 'small tank' (I call 4.5ml small LOL) it's great!. Great vapour. Just great PS this is the link to my 'new tank? Lemo?' discussion of the other week with video on how to rewick the KFL+

I have 2 Lemo's V1 and 2 subtank minis. I would say go for the subtank because: If you get the wick wrong then with the subtank it is a two minute job to sort it out. (even quicker if you have some spare rbas made up and waiting). With the Lemo you have just filled it and so you have to syringe it out (or just loose all the liquid) then rinse everything if you don't want juice all over you hands, then dry it. The longer I vape the more hassle free I like things to be. I like rebuilding, but I want to do it when I want to do it, and not in a rush because the damn thing isn't playing well because of some reason, I can't figure out in less than 5secs I have 3 spare rbas bases for the subtank so when it needs a new head/wick it's sorted fast, and I rebuild them when I am in the mood.

Ill have to try this K4 sometime, know i know what everyone on about. I would look towards tried and tested 'clone' brands as my experiences have told me that FT can be a bit of a lucky dip. Especially as they do so many K1-K4 versions from 'who knows where', it would be unfortunate to get a badly copied one that left you thinking the best designed RBA's ever were 'rubbish'. Hcigar and EHpro were always top of peoples list when i was researching the K2, so i would be surprised if standards had dropped. I have both K2 from these manufacturers, and you wouldn't be disappointed with the performance or standard of finish from either. Some of the FT clones look like they have been finished with a 'bag of nails' and it can be frustrating if you get one that works well, but you need a pair of pliers every time you want to take it apart. I have a link to Hcigar uk vendor that i left for @johanino They probably do the k4 and the price isnt hard to swallow.

Thanks all.
The kayfun is apparently best for flavour yes? Which is what I'm most interested in.
I'm leaning toward the subtank mini because if I feel lazy or am in a rush I can just bung one of the 1.2ohm heads in and away I go. Or as dragon said but a few of the RBA bases and have them already set up.
