Could the spring have become weak @johanino, because of the shorting, is it a fuse spring, possibly started to collapse,

If you havent fixed it when you come to your next edinburgh vape meet, then bring it along @johanino , I'll replace the spring with a stronger one and tighten the switch for you. You can try mine out first to be sure you like it.

I use pliers to tighten the internal contact screw. if you unlock the switch then push the button you should get enough sticking out to get hold of the end. If its not done up tight then it works loose when you swap batteries.

I'm so trying this markm.... Sure I can fit a £1 better screwdriver into vape budget (or may have one at home) to tighten the internal screw.... Happy Days!!!

My switch regularly works loose, and I do as markm suggests and tweak it up tight with my fingers. It works particularly when I have a slightly longer battery in the mod. Perhaps I should add a drop of Loctite, but that will prohibit me from disassembling it occasionally to clean out the trouser-fur from inside the mechanism!

You guys are beginning to get your wee heads around my vape budget Now to find that screwdriver . It's better since mini tightening but not there yet - but want to use this rather than the magneto cos the magneto join is causing problems with my thumb (skin peeling off/getting hardened ) Thanks so much!!!

Awe chappies... I managed to get a very hot battery yesterday just by not taking care. Ordered new batteries from myepack and new springs from@toby So here's hoping my caravela works well soon because I have to say I prefer it to my magneto But yeah - never a dull moment in my life LOL and that's without a life sentence (marriage) and kids
