banditruss The SX350J Mini is what i have gone for, because it has the authentic (we believe at the moment) YiHiEcigar SX350J chip (one of the best) the chip alone here is £69.99. Im sure others will be along with more opinions etc.. i also have a Zero clone with temp control and glen has said it works pretty well, im just waiting on my Ni to arrive to try it out properly

thx for advice got h cigar hb dna40 atm but put it up for sale If you have a dna40 mod then you already know how the chip performs, the dna will be pretty much the same regardless of the mod it's in. So if you're unimpressed by it then the sx350j chipped sx mini mod will be the obvious choice for you . Personally, I prefer the dna for temp control vaping as I find it a much smoother/less harsh vape. I won't be purchasing any more sx350j chipped mods till they do away with pulse width modulation in temperature control mode but that's just my findings, plenty more prefer the sx chip.

The HCigar HB DNA40 will vape better than either IMO, hard to say by how much they may be quite close. I like the SX even less than blakey and sent my one back for a refund mainly because it temperature calibration was massively out, but as blakey said some people like them.

oooo thats interesting...what to do now if you think the h cigar hb dna40 is better than the sx ....hmm get used to it then ..just prefer the shape of the sx after using the ivp for so long... ill have to adjust to buttons on side ..and not keen on offcenter atties..... to be honest i thought the sx would be an upgrade from the dna40 ive got........perhaps not then

I would at least keep the HB or any other genuine DNA40 as a benchmark IIWY

Please correct any mis info i spout in this post... My own TC research has led me to understand that so far we have 2 'working' temp control controller options, the DNA40 based builds and the SX350J, both these work but both have 'teething' probs. The DNA40 can suffer from display problems which Evolve will support, and the SX has calibration issues set it 200F lower than the target temp and it works.. other offerings so far have not proven themselves m80Xpro for example.. now if someone can help me sus out the circuitry to read a nickel coils resistance under load i reckon an arduino could do the job just as well and while not in the smallest form small enough tho and nice big oled screens circa 5-6mm deep are cheap as chips a couple of quid for 128 x 96
