I realise it's new but the kanger subox mini kit at £37 on fasttech has caught my eye. Is it too new for anyone to have tried it?

there's a few places in UK that have got them but it's around £45-50

Im no expert but am a few weeks ahead of you in reading and browsing this and similar sites..  

The subtanks are a proven design the matching mod looks good and is current tech so also a safe bet, but you are paying a premium for looks n brand not function.

the current cutting edge tech is the temp control mods which will ensure (when working) that even with a dry tank you wont take a burnt wick/cotton hit.  anything for sale in the uk thru an authorised dealer with an evolve dna40 control board (the only proven to work as it should temp control controller) will cost circa £100 , though myepack.co.uk will be getting the segelei 75w TC mod in circa June 25th which will sell for circa £50...(not sure how it will be controlled??  but afaik segelei are a respected make?) 

but there have already been a few major fails when it comes to temp control tech the SMOCK M80Xpro for example boasts TC but it doesn't succeed in providing it..

they also have the subtank mod..  and are a WELL respected vendor afaik.

(the other mainstream Temp control controller Yihi SX350J, works but u need to set the target temp 1-200 degrees cooler than actual target, but when tuned down works very well too) 

As most of us in here have more than one mod and atty to puff on grabbing a subtank kit to start with isnt a bad start at all imho..
