It is, yes. There's the metal threaded base part, inside that a while rubber lining, and inside that this pin.

Also, we all have days when rebuilding is a bad idea. It happens to me about once a month. If I stop and have a day not thinking about it, I can get it right first time again when I retry.

Good idea, tim. I check if there are overlaps, but am concerned maybe I should be using a different tool. I struggle with fixing the 2 legs under the screws often (thinking of buying a small hobby vice), but was doing it fine before ... am very off-colour at the moment, yes, so a rest and do other things is a great idea. Things always do solve ultimately. Have heard the local vape cafe is having a coil building/issues day on Saturday, so hopefully I can get to that.  

One thing I have been noticing is more posts about the Kayfun spring ... was googling about easiest tanks to rebuild, and lo and behold there's someone posting again about the spring, and that they got a replacement one from cloud9 ... replacement spring 

EDIT: have tightened the spring, but now am still struggling with the screws. Seeing posts where people having difficulty too, due to screw head being smaller/wire dropping out, so have found some M1.6 x 3mm Pozi Pan Head Screws on Amazon ... screws

the spare o-ring bag that came with a kayfun4 clone should contain a spare spring, if not one or more of the kayfun atty spares kits for sale @ fasttech have em, without the spring i doubt you would gat any ohm reading at all from a kayfun4 atty tho..

also i find it tricky with tweezers and thin wires not to collapse or double over a coil when pinching and heating pliers would be way worse for me to use, i find the £ wilco tweezers good for the job tho as long as you dont hold em too close to the jaws..

You gave me a great idea, to see if other tank screws fit ... discovered Kangertech ones too big for Kayfun post holes, but on high alert for any teeny screws in anything, lol. Defo spare spring, and have fitted it, but can't test it until I can fit the coil; look forward to testing it out once screws are fixed. Definitely seems a good idea to get screws with a better grip/head. Thanks for recommending ft and wilco. Certainly learning a lot about the Kayfun, and everything, lol. Love the Kayfun, how it fills, airflow, flavour, everything, so must persevere!

lol, the Screws of Destiny may just be the answer ... knurled M1.6's I'm seeing fit the Kayfun ... Screws of Destiny uk seller
