A Riva is fine, as it's a sealed battery. Give it a go and let us know what you think.

ive never once tried dripping.
When i ordered my riva from jason, i asked for cartomisers instead of atomisers and cartridges because i was afraid of doing something wrong, and cartos seemed an easier way of starting out.
now obviously i feel a lot more confident now, and realised a couple of days ago that he included 2 attys in my starter kit. So, will they be okay to use with an LT or should i experiment with just the riva? As i tend to use the LT alll the time now.
Ive got 15 flavours of easy liquid sitting there staring at me, and dont want to booger my cartos with naff liquid.
Ive got 2 spearmint which smells lovely, but guess that`ll be one of the last to try, but the coconut cream easy, toffee koko, and pinacolada koko, are simply begging to be tried

You'll be fine to use either Brian . . . although I wouldn't have the LT set on a high voltage or else you'll pop the atomiser's . . . I'd start at 3.7 and see how you go from there. I always suggest a transparent drip tip when you're first testing the dripping waters, it's not essential . . . but just makes it easier to see how much liquid you're dripping, until you get a feel for it. Some atomisers will come with a priming fluid, so you'll want to blow that through onto a piece of kitchen towel first, it tastes disgusting, so worth doing. Prime the atomiser bridge first with a few drops and leave that for a couple of minutes to soak in, after that drip directly onto the bridge of your atomiser, down the drip tip. About 3-5 drops I find sufficient.

You can also rinse or boil old liquid out.

I've been direct dripping different flavours all day, it's great I love it, wouldn't do it out of the house though tbh, I vape too much for that. One question, I read here that you wait for the hissing noise before re dripping, I've been doing that, but no hissing noise, I eventually get a horrible burnt taste, and then I re drip, is that bad? Should I try and drip before that taste, even when I'm changing flavours? It doesn't seem to linger, as in, once I re drip, it tastes great again, but I just wanted to check in case I was ruining the atty.

I wouldn't wait until you get the burnt taste myself Alvo . . 3 drops every few puffs is what I tend to do as not all atomisers will crackle/hiss . . . glad you're enjoying dripping!

Hi guys,
I kept hearing about direct dripping, and I wanted to try it out, mainly because I was wasting cartomizers trying out new flavours. Problem was, I didnt have an atomiser. I then found a you tube video that told me I could direct drip with a cartomizer. ( I hope this is the correct link)
As I didn't have an atomiser or want to order one, I thought I'd try it out.
Basically, you remove the wadding from your cartomizer, replace with a tiny amount of wadding and push this to the bottom of the cartomizer, this is supposed to prevent any drips onto battery. Then drip direct onto the centre coil thingy. Then use a drip tip.
I've tried this, it works.
However, I had to use one of my old cartomizers from my original purchase from vipelectronic e-cig.
I couldn't do it with a boge cartomizer.
Obviously, I haven't tried direct dripping with an atomiser, but this worked for me.
I am new to all things vape, so if this is a big no no, please let me know. I just thought, most newbies get cartomizers instead of atomisers And usually get a cigarette lookalike with cartomizers. So, if this was the case, they could possibly use one of those cartomizers. And not waste multiple cartomizers trying out new flavours. Cheers Ian

Kanger cartos have the coil at the bottom and teh adding/airtube are easy to get out.
Should work fine for DD with a small pad of wadding to stop leaks.
