I tried the FT version and the Gearbest. I prefer the Gearbest, currently my FT version is gathering dust. The FT version seems very prone to shorts, never really took it apart to find out. I have read in some forums the arrival of versions 1.1. The first wave was far from a one to one. You couldn't fit thicker ribbon, the centre post was a lot shorter and the well was narrower. I have not looked into those but it might be worth investigating as they might have fixed a few issues. It' a great atty if you like genny, forgiving, easy to build and doesn't leak. I still prefer my Origen Genny, cooler vape

Have you tried the other way around, putting the mesh wick in a coil already in place? Todd shows this on the video. It's a quite a method. All you need is a drill bit You then adjust the mesh to fit the coil.

No Cotton M8. I'm still on the 2 coils that came with the Ori.3 ....made the mesh wicks fit the coils rather than wrapping wire round the wicks.

ok make do you take the topcap off when you drip? i normally just drip down the drip tip but finding the wick isnt getting all the juice, maybe i could push the mesh down so its touching the deck of the origen, or would that cause a short?

Always just used cotton in Origens, think of it as the coil is heating the cotton, not sure about sucking of metal wick and don't know why...some sort phobia...!

It shouldn't, but can if it's borderline, a short will taste nasty (metallic) and you can see a short easily when dry pulsing, if you see one very short pulses and tweak the coil until you shift it.
