I'm having some issues with my new Lemo Drop which may or may not be related. Hopefully the experts can enlighten and advise me First problem... ohm reading is all over the place on both my MVP 3.0 and iStick50, so I assume that I have a coil problem... but I can't work out where. It's a newly made coil, 0.3mm kanthal on a 3mm ID, 5 wraps according steam engine should be around 1.4 ohm... my readings are anything from 2.2 to 4.1... ? I also get frequent "no atomiser" message which is further pointing to a bad coil, but I can't trace a fault... Second problem (which could be the root of the first problem) is getting the airflow right... I vape MTL so looking for a fairly tight draw. In order to close the airholes I've unscrewed in the base screw and wound in the "nut" ... is that the right way to do it or should I use a different method. Could this approach be influencing the coil problems above?

Your airflow adjustment is right with the nut and shouldn't affect your ohms. Do you have the coil legs in the deck holes or trapped under the screws?

I think we've all had this at somepoint and normally when you fire your mod the screws will slightly loosen... I'd imagine drunkenbum is right

Thanks drunkenbum and gm111, one of the screws had worked loose somehow - tightened it up and it's steady at 1.5ohms. Note to self: don't buy any more tanks that require you to empty them to get to the deck... saves dumping several ml of juice on the desk.....

After wicking and juicing deck I always fire it to see if there's good vapour production, usually for a few seconds. Then give all the screws a light tweak just in case. Not suffered from poor resistance reading for a while now.

It's okay pipeman01, that's what we're here for . Shame about the juice though, is there a way you can get a syringe in the tank and take the juice out? I've never had a lemo drop so I'm unsure how you fill it

If I need to get to the deck I pop a blunt needle syringe through the fill hole and suck the juice out. Do what needs doing and put the juice back. Job done. I think it was only a couple of quid for 2 syringes with needles on eBay

i decant the juice into a beaker I use for mixing and then use a pipette to refill, but some is always wasted and you have a clean up job anyway. a removable deck solves that...

With the Lemo Drop is you hold the tank where it joins to the base really tightly and unscrew the top you jam a needle nose syringe down there and suck up juice from a tank without too much leakage - it is a bloody faff and pain in the neck but possible to avoid losing too much liquid where you have wicked it poorly for example. You can also fill this way providing you are quick.

I do like the idea of syringing out the juice rather than dumping it into a beaker...less mess and less wastage. I'll do that from now on, thanks!
