hi again just wondering how much of a difference there was between the vtc5 and the efest 2800mah 35a batteries, not long bought 2 efests was going to get 2 more but thinking of swapping to the vtc5's (not a problem can pass the efest's onto my son ) so either 2 more efest or get four vtc5's...only at that price difference i hope they would live up to their legend !!what do you guys think ? enough of a difference for the price difference ? cheers russ

The VTC has 50% more the rating (EFest misrepresent theirs quoting max discharge rate), but the VTC5 is expensive and I would only get it for very high powered devices (> 50 W per battery) 25Rs and LG HE2s are generally better value, but only 22 & 20 A. VTC4 are better for low sub-ohming in mechs, lower mAh, but also lower voltage sag.

Go for it if you can afford it, they have the highest current rating so will be great in anything. I still have 10 Panasonic 10 A IMRs good batteries, but I out grew them so it can be cheaper to spend the extra sometimes.

May not be a problem banditruss, but I don't think he should go past 100w with them. Ripshod could you confirm if he could go higher please?

I know if he got vtcs banditruss, then he could go upto 150w so he could basically use the whole 200w as anything above 150w is pulse mode

150Watts is the max for 2 VTC5s. The 35Amp purple efests are really 20Amp, so 100Watt max for 2 of those.
Agree with the best option being the VTC4s at the moment, unless you really want the extra capacity and go for the VTC5s. I never advise going above the CDR as we never know how long a pulse is, with some cells it can be as short as 0.7 seconds.

Whaat, tell him straight banditruss haha! Ahh I tried, they'll be 100x safer, if those Efests vented and blew up because he went to 120w he'd wished he payed the £8 extra, I'm not saying they are going too but I can't say they wouldn't either, safety comes 1st, it's just not worth the risk. That's why I got them and I'm going to get another pair too or some vtc4/3s, maybe he should invest in some of them instead, they put out the same 30a continuous but a bit cheaper Vtc4s = 13.50 pair Vtc3s = £9 pair
