(Thought i had added this but not showing in list so apologies in advance for potential double post )
My wife hates the look of the Riva, and me using it in public, she makes me do it sneakily... However since i got my Griswald caramel she absolutely loves it and i had to keep grabbing it back off her all the time )
so, to avoid this inconvenience to me, and also to get her off those awful pre-filled uber-expensive e-lites I have ordered her a silver SD keyring with silver castor's and chrome drip tip ( thought that had the coolest look )
anyway, are they any good?? enough battery for an evening in the pub... worse comes to worse, new toy for me and i can use most of the parts with the Riva anyway.....

My personal experience is that they die very quickly no matter how much you keep cleaning the contacts.
They are well built except for the air flow sensor which is understandably tiny and sensitive. The liquid always manages to find a way into them and kill them..

so best to clean battery regularly and not overfill the carto's then? Should prolong their life for a bit if you keep the connectors clean regularly but the juice will find it's way into the sensor no matter what you do...I would say life span of these is about 2 months which is not bad considering their price. You can put a manual switch on them after they die though.

If or more likely when the flow sensor dies you take it apart and put a RIVA manual battery connector switch with working electronics and solder it to the battery..
Three soldering connections and you are done..Takes about 5-10 minutes and will make the device slightly longer and should prolong the life to last a few more months till the battery gives up the ghost. Time span obviously depends on heavily the battery gets used and how well you prop up charge etc.,
Easier to get a new one or pay someone a nominal fee to do it for you if it sounds like too much faff..

Or just get a Ego 650 mAh battery, nice and small You should be able to pick one up for under a tenner, plus a cone, Paradise vapes was doing them for £5.50 and james said he had some stock coming in but I can't see them on his website.

mines still going strong after a few months... its only used while im out and about but fab little device. battery life is a great improvement over the e-lites lasting about 40% longer
