Guy is an idiot, nickel is used in stainless steel precisely for it's non corrosive properties, the reason we don't make pure nickel cooking pots is because it wouldn't be robust enough. Nickel is a contact allergen, in other words you have to touch or ingest the nickel. Nickel does not give off fumes at the temperatures people vape at, it doesn't produce gas at those low temperatures, in fact it would have to be close to molten nickel before producing gas that is why the people who suffer from respiratory problems related to nickel fumes are generally people working in the foundry and welding industries.

AGREED The carbonization starts at 315 degrees Celsius, which is 600 degrees Fahrenheit. The DNA40 board's temperature control defaults to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and you can't set it higher than 600 degrees Fahrenheit. So the only time you will risk the carbonization of the nickel wire is if you set the temperature control to its max.

From what information i have found oxidation starts at around 600c not 600f, it's around 1100f almost twice the max temp range of vaping.

It has been posted here at least once recently, been on FB and other forums a lot and always shoot down. From 1st hand experience I have a nickle allergy and have had no problems using nickel as ADV since October.

I guess like most things in vaping vapers prefer to take the side that suits them and listen to the side of the argument that allows them to continue doing what they're doing. It wouldn't be too long ago many raved about 5 pawns liquid and now won't buy it yet continue to buy many other liquids that haven't been tested. Just sayin

JOOI has anyone got facts on Ti wire - now that some Yihi chips are able to use it - just wondering whether to try some I would only trust the stuff from StealthVape personally and never let it glow, seems to be for people that need big coils to run very high power in drippers I saw a guy on the DNA200 forum saying it was the best flavour he could get from his veloicty. VapingBad Doesn't really seem to be a lot of info about at the moment John, so I think I will hold fire - I was actually thinking on the safety aspect of using it, watched a vid earlier of someone using it, but he wouldn't commit to whether it was safe or not, just that he preferred it to Ni-200 and appears you use less coils to get same resistance, and have to reduce the temp by about 100°F

But as StealthVape bought 30 km of the stuff a while age and refused to sell it, but have now found a grade they are happy to sell I would give that a go, but one member here told me the tried it and didn't see the benefit. Which leads me to think it probably has most to offer for those wanting big coils. have a look on StealthVapes site news/blog sections there was some info there.

VapingBad bought some 24g & 26g annealed Ti wire from SV, just did a coil 4 wraps 24g in one of my Zeniths came out at 0.146ohms on the Yihi, after watching vids set the temp to 300°F but have had to up it back up to 400°F to get a decent warmth out of the vape, it doesn't look too good as the wire is quite stiff:
