Can anyone recommend me a decent quality syringe for sucking up concentrate for my creations? Probably just need a 1 or 2 ml one as the normal larger size plastic ones are fine for pg, vg etc. I've just found that the little black bung bit that goes around the part you pull up on always gets to the stage it won't move smoothly anymore and ends up getting pulled off and stuck inside... I guess it's some of my stronger concentrates reacting with the plastic and making the bung expand or something. I've seen some glass syringes on ebay that look like they might do the trick, just thought i'd get a few opinions on here before i buy something, cheers

the disposable 1s with out the rubber bung are my preffered choice now. Much easier to measure amounts with to as the plunger is flat. I say disposable but a good wash and there still good to reuse a fair few times. eg. link

Yeah they look pretty decent cheers for the link phtumshk at about 20p each could afford to chuck them out when they get knacked. Still interested by the glass ones do they work a similar way with the flat plunger and no bung on. It's always the bung i seem to have problems with

Ahh i use em for my brewing and need glass so i can sterilise in a pressure cooker (poormans autoclave) as i use them to measure out sterile medium into plates and slants for yeast growth and storage those look spot on for concentrate measuring... however have u considered using small drug dealer scales to weigh accuratly instead ??

phatfil I never really got my head round the weighing method for mixing juice tbh... Might look into it again though. I don't have any drug dealer scales... those day are over, lol. Would kitchen scales do? I have a digital one but only measure to whole grams i think, guess may be ok for larger mixes. That brewing talk went right over my head btw, lol. Sure wouldn't mind sampling some though

The glass 1 looks worth a punt for a couple of quid.

im sampling atm so perhaps thats why i drifted off topic, digital kitchen scales may be ok for industrial volumes but jewlers or D dealers scales measure in 100ths of a gram. the idea behind using scales is the density of the liquid (easily looked up with our pal google) dictates its mass ie water(pure) with a density or specific gravity of 1.000 weighs 1 x 1 grams per ml = 1g Lifted from here..jewlers scales can be picked up for a fiver or so

Maybe it's simpler when you get your head round it but looks to have a bit of a learning curve... Cheers for the link though will have a proper read through later when my head isn't so frazzled. It's been a long week

The glass 1 looks worth a punt for a couple of quid. Yep think i will grab one cause the last couple of 1 ml syringes i picked up lasted no time before getting shagged. Think it was a banana flavour that did the damage
