A few of my cheap Fastech acrylic drip tips have come away from the metal 510 connection base, as well as a couple of my Gary Dibley ones, could anyone advise on the safest glue to use for sticking them back together please? I have some Loctite super glue, it says on the back of the packet that it is water resistant and solvent free, but not really sure if it would be safe to use on a drip tip.

jb-weld while isnt endorsed as food/heatsafe is deemed so and is used by many brewers as a seal/fixative inside brewpots.

I think for the price of a good epoxy / glue you could replace the FT tips, shame about the Gary dibley tips, wish you luck

OK, thanks for the advice, I might just go ahead and use the Loctite on the Fastech drip tips for now, but will use sparingly, I will only need a tiny amount plus the tips won't be used too often anyway. Will PM Gary Dibley (if he is still around) to ask what he uses.

I know people who have used super glue to repair dental crowns that have come loose and they're still alive so I reckon it'd be ok to fix a drip tip with super glue, just make sure it's dry before having a toot wouldn't want you spending a few weeks sounding like a excited Clanger

I would not recomend it without knowing, but wasn't superglue developed by the yanks for sealing up the skin on wounded soldiers ? if this is true must be safe. But like I said do not know this to be true (so no help really lol)

As a few say, superglue has been used to stitch skin together, so I cant see it being toxic. I have used a small amount of bathroom sealant(sparingly) to glue a tip together before. After all, my lips dont touch the bit that is glued and there is very little heat to worry about it melting and giving off fumes.

That was my thought too, once it has dried/cured for 24 hours (to be on the safe side, lol) I don't really see much of a problem, i'll try it on one of my Fastech tips (sparingly too). I'll let you all know if it kills me!
