just splashed out on the triton tank and rta kit, tried rebuilding using nickle and pretty much shorts every build, not so much the coil, but the stem, when i fire it up i can see red glowing from below the coil ( anyone get this issue with there's ? ). tried the stock coils and grate if you like a very airy vape ( air flow fully open ) tried closing to get a more tighter pull, but the looses vape. think its back to the kt tanks

I found the stock heads give a very muted flavour but the RTA with a kanthal build is brilliant. I have not tried a ni200 build as I have yet to be convinced that it has any advantage over a good kanthal build. I agree that the Triton is geared more to full air, direct lung vaping as are most of the newer mass produced tanks these days. All in all I reckon it is a great tank let down only by the small 3.5ml capacity. Perhap the stock heads need a bit of time to bed in properly before they give a good vape but I will stick to the RTA.

hi yinyang maybe i shouldn't slate it so much, i think the actual build quality is alot better than kt sub tanks, and your right about full air direct lung hits mass produced for that market. i have just put in the stock 1.8 coil ( i think that was what it was ) and seems to be vaping abit more to my kind of vape. if you do manage to try a nickle biuld let me know how you got on. cheers Matt

for me, the 1.8 with the air pretty much closed off is a very good vape MTL. I did find a new coil takes a tank or 2 to bed in....

The stock 1.8 coils are great for standard mtl The stock .4ohm coils are great for lung hits The rebuildable sections are seriously crap in any nickel configuration Even with kanthal I've had to use a single nr leg to stop the glowing
But if you take the time and build a vertical kanthal coil with a short nr leg for that bottom connection then they work very well, inner diameter of the coil needs to be 2mm for mtl & 3.5mm for lung hits.

Loved the performance with the stock 1.8ohm head but I don't buy stock heads and my recoiling attempts gave poor results. I only do horizontal 2mm dia micro coils because I recoil heads for a group of friends & family and need just one size & wick to make things easy. At first I had flooding issues when recoiling the .4ohm heads & the RTA. Solved by using a thicker cotton tape wick but flavour was poor and vapour thin & wispy. The Triton was bought for me by my son when he got himself one but I've exchanged both for 2 Nautilus.

thanks for the reply's, might give a vertical coil ago, surly tho aspire would have picked up on the fact one of the legs/tails was long and may course an issue, not so much kantal. agree with you guys about the 1.8 coil much more my type of vape and like you's say will get better with a few fills.
cheers Matt
