Watched a youtube vid not long ago where they talked about vape-gasms.

No, not something dirty

Those moments when you try something for the first time, it hits you and you think 'yep, this is the business!'

These little turning points that are massive victories and progressions in our vaping journeys

I had one tonight and I'm sure we've all had them so would love to hear yours!

What eureka moments have you had? What new things did you try that made you say 'wow'?

Vape-gasms...

1. Ego-C in 2011 - this was the first thing I had that wasn't a cigalike, and i tried a lot of cigalikes, 10motives, halo, skycig... all were a constant fight and massive money drain... the ego-c was my very first 'wow, this is good'.

2. Vivi novas - These were good, really good and when I started rebuilding them, boom! now i had a great vape that I could rebuild at a really low cost and vape to my hearts content.

3. Kayfuns - WOW, JUST WOW. The flavour, the ease of build, the vapour production... now this is what vaping is all about.

4. Drippers & lung inhaling - I had drippers in my collection for a long time. I always kind of built them like a built my kayfuns. Guess what they vape like if you build them like a kayfun... yep, like a kayfun. The first time I bought some really, really, really thick kanthal (26awg) built the dripper (magma) with a proper sub ohm set of coils (0.6ohm I believe), I started to see the benefit of lung inhales and I was once again blown away and felt like I was vaping for the first time again.

5. Temp control with oomph (tonight) - I've been dripping and building lower and lower for a while now. Ive settled at around .2 ohms. I know its not for everybody. But I love that warm, thick vape, and I don't mean cloud chasing, I mean really strong flavour hit. The biggest trouble is, one juice of the coils tends to last about 4-5 hits, depending on atty, length of pull etc. When having a few drinks especially, I am so prone to forgetting this and taking that 5th or 6th hit and BAM, rough as all hell dry hit. It's minging. but a price I've been willing to pay for the way i vape. Ive always dabbled with temp control and for the most part, loved it. Tonight I had my first play with titanium wire. 24awg, 8 wraps, dual coil in the tugboat. 100 Joules (watts), 460 F. WOWSER. Instantly blown away. Warm vape, tonnes of flavour, fantastic... 5th pull, 6th pull, 7th pull, all amazing... the flavour drifts away but vapour still comes out... then the vapour gets less and less... open the dripper, bone dry.

I'm sat up tonight with a very wide grin stuck on my face because I know, like all the times before, that this here, is most certainly for me

Ribbon kanthal, ribbon kanthal in a genny, DNA40 & Ni200, DNA200 & ribbon Ni200. There have been a few others that have been good at first, but the list are wet dreams that don't dry out for me, all about flavour and physicality for me, YMMV.

Kayfun...that's it...first tank I ever coiled myself and still my favourite, just works...tried many on the way...but the climax has never been beaten....!

ATM Temp control squonking a chalice does get me going though....

Over 20 W they are better than the 40, the big pre-heat is great, loads of other good stuff and they will mainly be cheaper than the 40s once things settle IMO.

Ive been keeping a keen eye on the cloud maker whiteout... love the idea. Their own ares chip also sounds pretty interesting.

Will wait for the full release, reviews, initial problems to be ironed out.

Seems I have grown a weird thing over the past few years, some patience!

Bedtime on the first day I had an evod and realised I could be free of the fags as I hadn't had one all day.

Think I tweaked it to my liking, never tried the original so dont know if its close but it sure is goooooooood

My vape-gasms:-

1) Discovering that I could recoil a head, back in the days when I was still using CE4 clearomisers. The first vape I took after soaking in a new built coil was amazing.
2) Protank v1 - this was the next level up for me, and again the difference was truly amazing. Plus the fact that the coils were easily rebuildable.
3) My first tankful of a homemade juice (Custard I think IIRC) - wow, such a difference, and the best bit is that I made it myself!
4) Kayfuns (I now have 6!) - once again, the improvement with flavour and vapour production was fantastic.
5) Where I am now - Goblins and Orchids, with iSubs for backups, with a Sigelei 75w and some fresh new Samsung batteries. Loving the vapour and taste I get from essentially the same juices, albeit at a much lower nic level.

And what next? I don't know, but I'm in no hurry to get there, I'm happy with my lot at the moment
