Hcigar vt40 behaving erratically

Hi all, my vt40 is starting to behave erratically. Last nite wiith a tc build in a subtank the Vape got quiete hot and intense and I just thought dodgy build, even though my builds tend to be ok and it had been performing well for a couple of days. I decided just stick a stock head in there instead as it was 1am and didn't fancy doing another. Today with the stock head the battery is reading occasionally as having no power and sometimes I'm getting the check atomiser message. I have tried a dfferent stock head and the same is happening. The low battery thing has happened a couple of times previously aswell and I have had fully charged batteries inserted. Ideas or advice very welcome.

Off the top of my head I can't remember and I'm not at home at the moment. I'm wondering if the little hole next to the charge port is a reset button.

No it isn't, the little hole should house your charge light

It sounds like there's a dodgy connection in there somewhere

It may have dislodged a solder joint mate

It's been a week or two since dropped though. I'd open it up but I'm rubbish with these things.

Battery meter playing up sounds like a bad earth...if you can't use warranty take it apart it carefully and check the solder joint on the earth to the body (C frame)

Take some pictures too and tag windows and vaping bad they might see something else if it's not that.

I've had it apart two or three times and the way the board slides into the c frame I don't think I could take a decent pic in situ. I'm a bit owed off to be honest. To me it's a lot of money.

If any of our wonderful modders would care to take a look I would be eternally grateful. Of course postage and time costs would be paid.

drunkenbum blakey sydsut letsavit gm111 I've tagged you all as you all offered advice on this little mystery. I think I may have solved this issue. I took the mod apart again and noticed on the bottom of the board a small, stainless I think, plate. The positioning of this seemed to correspond with the slotted screw head on the base of the mod as shown in the second picture. Ok cogs turned, fractionally anyway. I put the mod back together and gave the little slotted screw a little tighten although it did not seem excessively loose it did turn perhaps almost a full turn. Hey presto the problem dissappeared. Ok loosen it a little and the problem is back. You can guess the next step. I'm wondering if is something to do with earthing then as letsavit mentioned. Such a simple little thing, the fix not me. Anyway fingers crossed it's not just a coincidence and the problem does not reappear.
