I suspect they got caught out with the minimum price control on this mod from Hotcig and Evolve

Correct me if I'm wrong here robby, but the battery seems massively underpowered for this at 200w? Even with a Li-Po battery, it isn't going to last anywhere like a whole day, is it?

Its a good idea having the lipo in a separate protected casing, I think the design of the hotcig one still is nicer though, the vtbox too looks quite unique, handy that it comes with the balance charger though, will keeps costs down if you went for another battery. Maybe we'll see some reasonably priced dual 18650 dna 200 mods soon too or it could be time for some dual 26650 mods to make an appearance lol

How long would you expect a 2700mah 18650 last at around 150w? Certainly wouldn't be a whole day - my Sigelei 75w running at 25w needs a fresh battery after around 12 hours; not quite a whole day. If I drip at 50w you can almost see the remaining charge drop, so the battery life on this DNA isn't going to be brilliant is it?
I'm not remotely interested in this mod, but don't understand why something which requires so much power is underpowered

It`s about size as much as anything. Personally, at my whimpy 20 watts or so I will get well over a day with it

900 mAh @ 11.1 V = 10 Wh (watt hours)
a 25R would be 2500 mAh @ 3.6 V = 9 Wh
a VTC4 would be 2100 mAh @ 3.6 V = 7.56 Wh

But 900 mAh LiPo is now lasting me as long as 2 25R, at first it was more like1.25-1.4 timea as long, but I think now that I have got the DNA200 setting to my liking I just get the same satisfaction from fewer and shorter puffs.

Maybe HotCig, definitely not Evolv they just sell them the boards and have no history of price fixing.

Ah, OK, thanks VapingBad, that makes more sense to me now!
It seems that the LiPo batteries might be the new development which will have us all reaching for our credit cards! It will be interesting to see what other new battery developments ride over the horizon, there appears to be lots of new technologies on the way
