I have , after seeing the Vapecige issues and lack of QC ( pity as it is a nice mod imo) I asked the vendor I purchased it from if I could switch, they were more than happy to allow it.
I actually had around 30 mins with the Vapecige mod, ( As a mate got one in a GB on POTV) and it is very nice, the DNA200 worked flawlessly, and also managing to get a wee session on Escribe with it I was blown away with all the different parameters you can tweak to your liking.
The Vape is very smooth, and this is what swung me after being very sceptibke at first. There are some cracking looking versions from most manufacturers coming shortly, but one I would have a good look at is the Lost Vapes DNA200 Happy shopping !

True it is a minefield out there, especially as they are all coming to market at the same time give or take a week or so. What I did after the Vapecige issues was look for a Company that had a pretty decent track record, Vapour Shark were off my list right away solely down to the previous issues with the covering on my Rdna40.
HCigar has a pretty good rep after the VT40, and my way of thinking was they would continue with that trend with the DNA200
The Lost Vapes Efusion looks a wee cracker, and they also have been getting great reviews for thei mods. What is striking with the launch of theses DNA200 mods is the board so far seems to be performing very well and I am keeping the fingers crossed as it looks like Evolv have really upped the game this time.

The only issue that may annoy a few folk is going to be the USB charging ( not an issue for hobbyists that have used Lipo's before ) As they, as I do will likely have a decent balance charger which will cut the charge time massively as long as it's done within spec and safely.

Balance chargers are cheap, I have one but still charge my DNA200s by USB. A 900 mAh battery takes about 2 hours to charge. You can guestimate charge times in hours by working out the battery watt hours (mAh * 11.1 V / 1000) and dividing by the charge power 5 W.

The Hcigar is the one that's topping my want list at the moment. I have the VT40 and I love it. I do like the look of the lavabox but with the hcigar VT40 being so solidly made it's making me think stick with what you know.

There hasn't been much mention as far as I've seen about using the lipo safe charging bags when charging these batteries but it might be an idea to use one as they were designed for lipos. I use one for 18650s and the heat of the batts during charging is not bad but actually depends on the charger too! Could even use one of those usb charge meters or usb voltage detectors as theyre sometimes called that xtar and others sell. Quite handy as you can see the charge current and voltage as some will count the mah too, plus if your mod is in the bag then you can monitor whats happening with that detector from outside of it. Mines this one: www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_183135.htmlbut theres others too you can get locally if you want.

I recommend both those in my Battery safety guide, but the DNA200 has excellent battery and temperature monitoring and I feel safe charging, still don't leave charging unattended though many people do. On the DNA200 you can choose to have the USB voltage, current or power displayed during charge, I have Battery pack voltage, batter Wh and USB current displayed during charge, You can have 3 of these fields displayed.

Ah cool, yea those are some great features the dna 200 has then, I suppose the lipo bag was intended for rc vehicles that may take some impact and then have issues later on but I'd assume the good chargers can detect these too. Yea I might have heard about the charge doctor from your thread actually but forgot about that heh, nice little device, cheers

I have a LiPo bag and use it if I have to leave a battery charging unattended (yes I have do it a couple of times and only in the LiPo bag, do as I say not as I do) and sometimes for transporting batteries.
