My brother has a subtank plus. He came over last night saying he gets jujce in his mouth alot. I had a chuff on it and indeed if you take a deep inhale you get a mouth full of juice.
He is using the standard stock head that came with it. .5 ohm square one.
Tried it at 20 watts and 40 watts neither seems to make a difference. Any ideas?
I assume it's flooding causing juice to get in your mouth. So is it simply a faulty coil ? Or is this a common sub tank issue?

I found the the older horizontal coil heads tended to spit but the newer vertical coil heads are fine.

I had a very similar issue last week or so, my subtank plus was weeping a lil juice, I replaced the bottom seal and changed the coil over - problem sorted, if it was the seal Or the coil head I dunno??
but if u pull the coil head, it should have a little oring seal on its bottom and in its top to seal against the chimney..
It is also possible to screw a coil head in too tight, this will result in the chimney not engaging with its seal correctly..
hope thats usefull...

Also when first installing a new coil head if you dont juice up the coil head in advance of fitting some juice can slip by the wick before its fully absorbed juice and can then let some juice past the wick barrier.
Ensure the wick is facing off the whole juice in hole too..

He's stubborn at best of times. I told him use one of the other stock coils or the rba and see what they ate like if they cause same issue. But since he's got life in the current coil left he won't change. Grrr. Anyways it's what I figured sounds like something to do with the Cool. Either a bad one or crewed to right or bad seal. So should be fixed soon enough
