Got a new set of tips and they look good.




Large bore size, not over-sized for most atty's. Great
Then you take a draw and think 'they blooming well do it on purpose!'
Every one of them sounds like a referee's whistle, you dont even need to suck hard, the lightest draw and you expect someone to shout 'Foul'.
I'm sure they are laughing at the thought of everyone who bought going around whistling everywhere.


Any cure for a whistling tip?

is it a clean cylindrical bore?? if not drill it out so it is,

If thats a blind ally then u need to change the air passage, perhaps file a notch or 2 in the bore hole or probably easier chamfer off the square inner lip of the bore with an oversized drill bit (working by hand with a sharp bit should do it no need for tools)..

I got the all black/silver set and it was only after reading your post hijack that I took one off a subtank mini and tried it ... You are right, it is just like a kid's toy whistle although it is quiet when on the tank.

Just checked a few of my tips and they all whistle to some degree when not on an atty, the bigger the bore, the more they whistle. As they're no use for anything else except as a drip tip on an atty I don't see any probs.

Yeh sorry, just tried one on the goblin and its OK. When I tried them off the tank I thought I was going to be whistling around.
