When I first got into vaping I bought a vision X-Fire vv/vw wooden mod with a laser etched dragon on it (cant resist wooden mods..esp ones with a dragon...lol) After about 3-4 months it broke & the vendor gave me a refund & said I could keep it, but its always gutted me that it was sat in the drawer.....so I thought I'd try and make another mod from it......thought about various options....like using the old parts & putting in a new pcb board.....or the easy option of using the wooden sleeve over another mod (but didnt know which would fit)......but as I couldnt afford to waste money on trying these options at the time it just sat in its box ! After decoy kindly sent me a vamo for free !..(thanks again decoy) I got the x-fire out the box & found with a little sanding the inside it fitted perfectly over the vamo.....& that was it....I was determined to make it work.. because the vamo was a bit longer I wrapped a bit of zebrano veneer around the chrome parts & and used an old coin ring I made ages ago to take up a little gap (plus the brass coloured coin matched the finishing rings on the old mod).......a few hours later....& hey presto....I dont think it turned out too shabby !!......I hope decoy doesnt want it back now!...lol From this...... Thanks everyone, it looks much better in the flesh as the pics dont really show the detailing of the dragon.....its also given me an idea on putting a wooden wrap around tube mods.
