OS X El Capitan - views?

Had it for a couple of days on Mid 2010/Mid 2011 white macbook (with upgraded SSD and max ram it will take)

So far cleaner, quicker nicer everything . No probs with my Office 2011 (though believed to be bugs with office 2016?). Dread these updates as think they are going to kill my old macbook but working well

Any other mac lovers out there playing?

Oh not tried it yet. Will give it a shot later. I have held off on updating for a while now but can't remember why :-)

Been stable for the most part, doesnt like vpn's or connecting to dropbox very quickly, other than that fine. Loving the split screen mode for apps that allow it.

Certainly seems to be an improvement over Maverick, got some compatibility issues with a few older programs I still run but no doubt will get ironed out eventually.

All good after my update. Seems to be stable and not found any obvious issues yet

Doesn't like mail (or could be cos I deleted a few viruses the other day) - won't download flagged messages from Gmail?

Tried rebuilding the mail box - just crashed?

Any ideas?

So much better than the last updates Maverick and Yosemite I was in the process of looking at getting a newer Mac mine is 2010/2011 Macbook Pro since installing El Capitan its like having a new machine.

totally agree with you now it has El Capitan only updated yesterday can not believe how quick and smooth it all is.
My only gripe is they have done away with Secure Empty Trash not that I have top secret files   but some files will not always delete i.e. in use or whatever have installed fileShredder and this is deleting these awkward files.

still won't download flagged messages into the flagged folder on apple mail from gmail (or even flagged on apple mail)

Any ideas?
