What am I doing wrong? I have tried more cotton, less cotton, cutting it on a 45 degree angle, fluffing it up. No matter what I try it just leaks and if I can get it to not leak it is dry hitting! I am so sick of leaky tanks! If anyone manages to invent a tank that doesn't leak they should be instantly made president of the world! Sorry for the rant, I am just really, really frustrated!

Did you close off the airflow on the base ? Mine leaked when filling until I did this, since then no leaks

Yes I did, this is more than just a little bit of initial leaking after filling it. It looked fine after I filled it, left it to stand, started cleaning up and when I turned back it was sat in a puddle.
The cotton is nowhere near the airflow either i'm making sure of that.

I'm reading up now. It looks like maybe I need to screw it together in a different order to make sure juice doesn't get into the chimney. At this point it is worth a try because I have been covered in juice three times today :-(

Have you checked the small o ring on the underside of the build base? It has a nasty habit of falling off without you knowing.

You can see the silicon seal just under the shoulder/at the bottom of the juice channel of the re-buildable base.

Oh no!! Well collie2011, at least you have found out the cause; here's hoping you have no more juice-soaked fingers in the future!!

Apparently so haha. You screw it together from the top down so Lid to chimney, glass in, then screw to the base otherwise the inner bits don't always screw in tight enough and juice gets into the chimney section.
