Irrespective of what the vendor might say( and they will try to bullshit ), your contract is with them and the sale of goods act applies full stop. Check the act through which? Paypal dispute perhaps, can be escalated! mxethey

This 28 day warranty thing that some vendors are hiding behind is bullshit prr. You could buy a kettle or a microwave cheaper than a VT 40 and you'll get more than 28 days with those even if you paid less than the manufacturer RRP. Talk about taking the piss.

If you get no joy mxethey with the vendor or manufacturer if there is enough room under the top cap to fit a fat daddy or varitube 510 then @windows will get it up and running again. I've fitted three MVP 3's with them. Maybe not the prettiest thing but at least they are ss and get the device working. Good luck with it anyway. Another mod kinda let down with the threading.

next email you write to the vendor start off with the words 'Without Prejudice' as a heading and then after politely voicing your regrett at not being delt with in a satisfactory manner mention that you have researched your consumer rights under UK legislation and intend to pursue this matter. Say no more, wait for a negative responce if one arrives before copying and pasting in sales of goods act sections etc into a bulldozer of an letter sent by snail mail recorded delivery warning of your intention to pursue the matter in your local small claims court if necessary..... dont load all your bullets into the first message let them know your savy and not going away and give em a chance to do the right thing first... Hopefully they will accept defeat and replace if for you if unlucky they may opt to take and send back to the manufacturer for an assesment which will just drag out the proceedings www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/return-faulty-goods/

This bit here is a get out clause for the vendor depending on how long you've had it. E-Cigs are treated as consumables so I'm not sure how the law pertains to certain types of e-cigs. Obviously cig-alikes are very quickly consumed so you can't give even a days guarantee. that it will last, batteries are also consumables so this looks like a very grey area in consumers rights.

I agree the wear and tear issue is a minefield but surely the 510 connection is designed to have an atty screwed on and off as a matter of course and as such should be designed in such a way, with materials that are capable of handling this, to last a reasonable length of time. I wouldn't buy a mod that didn't have stainless threads for this reason. Just a pity some manufacturers have been slow to recognise this.

I totally agree with you charliehorse i mean you wouldnt say the lid on a jar of pickles is wear and tear if it pisses vinegar all over you. What makes it worse is when you think its stainless steel but turns out to be coated in some type of metal with brass underneath, as is the case with the vt40

I would like to thank everybody on the legal process to try and resolve it, but i have to say in the past i have wasted so much time and effort and got stressed out over these type of things. Lets hope the vendor or manufacture does the honorable deed. @windows as kindly offered to try and fix it if it all goes pete tong Also i found a company in europe who sell the c-frame but not in stock til 4 weeks time You would of thought hcigar sold spare parts on there website but no

I do think it's worth it, apart from the 510 the mod is a very well built unit and a lovely form factor. Here is the link and they do all spares for the vt40 cigreen.com/en/47-spare-parts

Just a thought after seeing the picture of the C-frame in the link posted, Would it be possible to tap out the 510 threads and fit a stainless helicoil ?
