a polite note informing them that manufacturer warranties and guarantees can only add to Uk statutory consumer rights not negate them. And that you have a contract of sale with them which is under dispute due to a product unfit for use and you want them to uphold their statutory responsibility and replace refund or fix the mod. freeing them to pursue any complaint with the manufacturer if they so wish once you have had a satisfactory result. After all what other incentive did you have purchasing from a uk supplier other than customer service and consumer rights.

My bottom cap is now knackered due to it being brass threads on the vt40
Such a nice device but silly to use a brass c frame
The 510 is going but still workable right now.
Did Windows ever sort yours?
I was thinking to just rip it apart and use the dna 40 on something else.

No the vendor replaced the c frame in the end, but i will buy more c frames case it goes again.
cigreen.com/en/47-spare-parts has all the vt40 spares but i have been waiting for the c frame to be in stock for months now
