Talking of plastic planes i'm surprised Airfix are still about i would have thought giving glue and enamel paints to kids was verboten by now.

Oh yes, took too long to untangle the string & set up, you had to get someone to sit in the chair so it didn't fall over and in the end even less fulfilling than a Kinder Surprise.

Oh God another BOF moment. Christmas was much easier for parents then, as boys got Meccano, Triang trainset or Lego and girls got Tiny Tears, dolls pram or junior nurses outfit. And of course the D.C. Thompson annuals.
