Hi all Here is a link to my favourite Juice Calculator, with links to instructions and other useful docs - there is also now a portable version, which I have not tried. This used to be one of those deals where you have to download from a google drive but, because I had to re-install due to a computer crash, I found its now got a proper download page. It involves a bit of work to set up but does just about everything you can do - including changing % of all ingredients in a recipe - changing Nic %, keeping track of concentrates, making notes on both concentrates and recipes, sorting and classifying recipes, giving amounts by %, weight, ML and drops, so great if you are trying out and testing new recipes. It even gives steeping alerts if you want them. Its also totally customisable. Find it here

skipraider. The advice around getting proper sleep, avoiding high stress levels as far as possible and keeping yourself hydrated are all good for staying well in life in general as well as health emergencies. The specific stuff around what and what not to eat and what vitamins to take - well, I am a bit dubious about the real science around some of it even when it is properly referenced - and, as VapingBad points out, this is not! Stay safe!

Emotions are running high understandably at this time of much uncertainty for all of us and our families . . . . but let's be kind to each other, don't you think.
On a personal note I had something of a meltdown at work yesterday, when I started my shift we had no disposable gloves left, still no protective screens around tills, no visors or masks ( those that I ordered have still yet to be delivered, postage/delivery services are taking longer than normal . . . . again understandably. ) Yet other supermarkets in the locality have these in place for their staff.
So I ranted, loud and long at our Branch Manager . . . . if any company is expecting their employees to pitch up for work, then they have a duty of care to safeguard their well being as best possible in this current situation, our manager did fully agree with me and had said similar a little earlier to those higher up the management scale.
As a company, we're so busy applauding the good works being done within local communities, which I also totally support, that protecting staff appears to be a secondary priority.
I've gone from being disappointed to cross, very cross when I have people unknown to me not two feet away paying for their shopping, completely undoing any of the preventive measures outside of work that I'm taking in respect to social distancing ( which is well nigh impossible in a supermarket anyway! )
Preventive, safeguarding actions could and should have been taken weeks ago by all companies when news of this pandemic was first known.
Sorry to hear about this Perpetua. I think what you and your co-workers are doing in food and goods supply is heroic, and you deserve much better - if there were an NHS style clapping thing for all of you I'd be the first out my front door - for the moment - this will have to do:

I'm really interested in the rumour thing - in my work I know so many people who are have anxieties about health issues, the police, medical authorities or the army even in 'normal' times. Ramping things up by rumours causes them truly terrible distress. So, how to spot them: I have heard several rumours and they all have similar features: 'I know someone' or 'I know someone who knows someone' this someone is often: a Nurse, Doctor, Policeman, Home office or Ministry of Defense civil servant or Politician, often senior (to give the appearance of the information having authority) or, where it suits, a front line worker who has been let in on or discovered a 'secret'. They usually predict the situation getting worse, even catastrophic. They often reflect what people fear will happen, or fears about what has happened. Two weeks ago one went around work that there would be a total China style lockdown implemented by the army and the police the next day - it was conveyed by someone whose best friend (a ward Sister) had been told by a senior police officer in the MET. This led to one person making a desperate overnight dash to the Midlands to pick up a daughter who is at University there. I was told a similar rumour three days later directly, I gently challenged this one, and the person got quite angry and said 'But I heard it from a MATRON.....' as if this was proof positive. I know someone in a charity who works with the MOD on ex service people with post traumatic stress problems - apparently the rumour going around there is that COVID 9 is a man made virus - ignoring the fact that similar coronavirus strains have caused two well documented and researched SARS pandemics in Asia over the last ten years. Rumour is human - we all like to be 'in the know' - we also have a tendency to seek evidence to confirm our prejudices - a part of staying healthy in all this is to take every rumour with a BIG pinch of salt and halt the spread of them as far as we can.

I work in a mental health charity and we were already busy, but the last couple of weeks has been awful. We are having to make very difficult decisions about the balance between protecting our staff, the general public, and supporting the more vulnerable people that we work with. I know we are not alone in this - everyone (rightly) praises doctors and nurses but people serving in supermarkets and many other public facing jobs are bearing the brunt of everyone's anxiety, fear and panic and are not getting enough praise for sticking with it, I think. It's not uncommon in local shops, supermarkets and small eating places to ask people how they are and have them burst into tears - Friday evening and Saturday morning were especially sad, with people seeing businesses they have worked years to build closed down - we have lots of cafes down our high street and some of them are real community hubs, with many people relying on them for food and some company- now just suddenly shut. One really nice little cake shop had all it's orders for birthdays and weddings cancelled within a couple of days and the people who run it can't see how it will survive, or how they will earn a living. There is hope too, in that a lot of people are doing what they can to keep the essential things going and help others - we have joined a local group that co-ordinates neighbours to shop and collect medication etc for people. I hope everyone here and their families stay well and safe

I think this is probably a mix of the nicotine and some of the flavours used, scoops.

I agree, stu1873. By this logic, we would have to give age verification for PG & VG. Could extend it to everything - all the plastic bottles we buy, mixing scales maybe even the desk I mix on???

Hi vape2017 - thanks for these - don't have the TPA Banana Cream - do you reckon that 2% of TPA Banana Ripe and 2.5% of FA Fresh Cream might sub it? I've dialled this into my saved recipes and will feed back when it reaches the top of my list - (this could be many months, it's a long list!)
