Warning about LowPro RDA Clone

Don't buy this atty it's useless.
It's been made so that the slots for the coil to feed through on the negative terminal is flush with the screw to trap the coil so as a result there's nothing of the screw sticking out to trap the wire in place so you can't secure the coil on the negative terminal.

or take the screws out and get busy with the dremmel?
not really the best solution but 8/10 bits I get from china need some kind of fetteling.

Mine arrived yesterday and also has the problem as well as coming with two standard pins and not a bottom feeder pin as advertised. Hope a solution can be found soon Foclecig

Well, after a couple of hours I managed to get a dual coil build onto mine. It's 9 wraps of 0.25/30AWG, 3mm ID NI200 and it's working and giving great flavour and OK vapour with a 50/50 3mg strawberry mix. I must say the air turned quite a few shades of blue while working on it. The hardest part is getting the leads cut short and then putting a loop on the ends so you can catch it with the screws. You have to keep the coils above the wall of the deck and then wick it (I used my usual rayon) and then pushing gently down so the coils go below the deck wall and lined up with the slots. It is not my favourite dripper but it does work eventually with a lot of patience and swearing. As you can see from the pics it isn't a pretty build, and I think I will have to reduce the amount of wick at some stage.

Can you not take the screw out wrap the wire around a couple of times, cut the excesss then put screw back?

Damn, that deck design is gonna lead to significant power loss in the legs of the coil. Looks like an atty that really needs a large diameter wire with many wraps to build decently.

An update.

Contacted Focalecig support and they have agreed to send a replacement base. Fortunately I had an order outstanding that they could add it too, otherwise I would have had to raise a new order and they would have added it to that.
