Not being a member of any computer oriented forums, I figured I would ask you guys, my daughter (16) wants to host a blog and have some tools for free website design, anything jump to mind please?

i would imagine the most popular blog hosting sites will have the best tools for the job as evident by the number of folk who use them..
her teachers for IT should be able to point her in the right direction too..

Yeah, search results often turn up third parties trying to sell otherwise free tools, she went for Wordpress in the end.

Wordpress is great, takes a bit to get used to but once you have it you can do all sorts.

Wordpress for me every time too - don't blog much these days (I spend too bleddy long on this forum!) but used to use Wordpress for all my kayak trips, and as Rosco says, once you have got used to it, you can do almost anything with it, including a website; the best bit of course is that it''s free
