Flavourless and boring DIY juices, what am I doing wrong?

Ooh I just got some of this - is it a lot different to TPA whipped cream? I was thinking of adding it in with some Horchata and stuff... (actually buttersctotch sounds a good partner for it)

TBH i have not used the TPA whipped cream so i really can't help you on that one sorry.
Its not the strongest of flavours (not got my recipe book to hand) but iirc i think i done 13% butterscotch 8% whipped vanilla cream 2% bavarian cream.
i will check my book when i am back home but that will not be for a few days.

I've got Cap VC V2 and never used it yet, (I will get to it eventually), in my ignorance I don’t understand why he's got both in it, unless I'm wrong it kinda defeats the object considering why V2 was produced

Yep, I'll do as you suggest whiteclouds and concentrate (pun intended) on a strong custard from here.
I also may as well try to resurrect the custard juice I have by adding more custard.
I don't know why Les Picken added both Capella custards into his recipe, it sure does defeat the object of the v2

The object to my mind is getting a good flavour. If that does it for him, then all the better. The amount of (so called) nasties in V1 is small anyway, but it's what gives it the better flavour. Any custard recipe requiring V1, but substituted with V2 (to be "safe") is compromised. I and many others on here, are willing to take the chance. FFS I smoked for 46 years, my lungs were damaged beyond repair a long, long time ago.
