This isn't as much as 'what different types of coil are there' but more 'how does it effect the vape'. I understand the prettiness aspect and stuff like that. But I heard on a build video (someone who does crazy builds) that it is down to how much juice is held by the wire. Input please hehe.

i too would be interested in hearing from those with more experience.. i have 1 build with clapton coils fitted, the vape is much denser? thicker? BUT!! probably due to me not applying enough power, the coils do take a noticable time to get upto temperature, i can start a vape press button and start sucking/breathing in, only to get vapour at the end of my 'drag' so a lil dicipline and not sucking so soon helps..
afaik the theory stands, larger surface area of hot metal = more vapour..

If you are the type of vaper who picks up their mod.....takes one draw and puts it down again.........fast heating high resistance coils are the way to go......instant heat up and vape.
If you take a good few draws......or chain vape........then low res thicker gauges will take a bit longer to heat up.......but then will stay warm for longer......so the next draw is starting with a warm coil.
Claptons, twisted, parallel coils etc will have more surface contact to vapourize juice.........so bigger clouds and more flavour.
