I was trying to post a test link but I think its the wrong code for the forum & I think its the type of code that can only be added by the owner of the forum Or perhaps if youre a registered Vendor.....didnt think the " eye of @chrissie " would be watching.....lol

its BBcode tags that will encapsulate links if your familiar with them, if not the buttons above the edit box will wrap most types of links, what specifically is it??

Im not sure what kind of link it is (on a bit of a learning curve here) But it might be an idea to PM chrissie & ask about rules in posting it before I did it anyway....was just having a mess around to see how/if it can be done. Its not link the normal links that start with http......its a link with a picture & includes the link to the website in it (its a link to a vendor on here's site)

if its a picture on the web, open the page in your browser, right click on the picture and select 'copy image/picture URL', ( That will copy the pictures web address into your puters clipboard) then in the aaec create post use the 'add image to post' button, selecting the 'Web' not your computer as the source, and paste the copied url into the box (ctrl + V, or right click on the box and 'paste') before clicking upload buttons x 2 Im using chrome and relying on memory so the right click on the image pop up menu options may differ slightly especially if using another browser if the picture is on a private site you may need to download it to your computer first with your login privileges (again via the right click pop up menu ) and then use the same aaec 'add image to post' button but this time browse to the picture file downloaded onto your puter. hope thats clear and not too confusing..

That's html code you're talking about mate, chances are it's turned off here. Most forums have it turned off due to security vulnerabilities. test - <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="NyPnrCa"><a href="//imgur.com/NyPnrCa">View post on imgur.com</a></blockquote><script async src="//s.imgur.com/min/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

goofy is right, I can use HTML in the forum headers & footers, but it's BBcode that is used in posts.
