Kayfun 4 jumping ohms

Hi all. Getting really frustrated at the minute in my endeavor to find an ideal glass atty for mouth to lung:(

I have two kayfun v4 clones and both of them jump ohms all over the place. The coils are built to 1.5 ohms and I've seen readings as high as 3.3 ohms. I've tried tightening the screws and Mr Mac has pulled one apart and stretched the spring but it doesn't seem to help.

Ahhh I just destined never to get the perfect glass mouth to lung rebuildable?! Lemo drip is just too airy and gurgles when shut down.

Any ideas on how to fix?

I know when i had one i had issues with things touching inside with the juice control causing my ohms to jump. I cant offer much more assistance im afraid as i didnt keep it long lol.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the V4 can help.

Not got a 4 but have had similar problems with all my kayfuns in the past with this issue
However a quick strip down and a thorough clean or even boil in hot water sorts this out for me

I try another clean down of both, failing that I'm chucking em lol

It's the dam springs! Are they clones? Fastech sent me new one. Worked for a bit then had same problem. Got some upgraded springs from C9, now the work like a dream.

As above, its the spring in the base. They are a Bugger of an atty to get working right but when you do the vape is fantastic

I indeed read around that it is the springs, it may,be worth me upgrading them but I shall also have a look at the video as well. Thanks is guys

If you only like the kfun 4 because of the glass tank option and are happy with the performance of the original style of Kfun why not combine the 2.
Just take a base and barrel from a kfun v1, 2, 3 or 3.1 and it will screw direct into the V4 tank assembly.
Only con is you cant use the top fill option as you cant shut off the juice flow.
But to fill you just unscrew the base with your build still intact and fill the tank through the little holes in the tank base which was what I was looking for myself so no more fiddling with diddy screws or kayfil tools.

Heres mine with a bell cap fitted.


Ive had a few tanks through it now with no leaks, gurgling or dry hits.

@pbtumshk, I've only just seen this post, was just discussing this with Mr Mac and it may just work! Going to read it slowly and give it a go before we order new springs

Its just been brought to my attention that not all kayfun clone barrels will fit in the V4.
Of the 5 various kayfun clones I have 2 of them have barrels that measure around 13mm and 3 that measure around 16mm.
Both size barrels seem to be interchangeable between my regular kayfun bases/chimneys/tanks so is only noticeable if you look for it or try to get it to go in a v4.
I tried 2 bases in my V4 and by the powers of randomness they were both unfortunately the 2 shorter barrels and assumed this was a go-er.

I would like to say thank you to all who have tried to help sort my kf4. I want to give a huge shout out to phtumshk

As some may know I am very happy vaping my kfl+'s but always had the bug bear that I couldn't vape my tank cracking juices in a see through tank. I've tried every possible combination and tank. When I saw the post yesterday about combing the kf4 glass section with the kfl base, it made so much sense.

Unfortunately none of my chimney barrels would fit in the kf4 chimney so I went searching online for a smaller one. Steam turners do a chimney barrel for the purpose of using the kfl base with the kf4 chimney so I ordered 2

Not being content with waiting a few days for the postman, this morning with mini mac in front of the tv, I armed myself with a spare barrel and some sandpaper and guess what...I did it!

So a huge thank you again phtumshk it works and I can now vape my tank crackers securely with a see through window using my kfl+ bases and kf4 glass setup
