Hi there, just wondering if any of you with a kayfil tool have problems when filling up with it. Rewicking is no problem but every time I fill from the bottom with it in place I get dry burning. I know there's no problem with my wicks coz been doing it for ages now and got it to a tee. If I put my tank back together and then fill by removing the top section then no dry burning with same wick! Why is this so as the only downside from doing this is a bit of leaking to begin with and wanted to avoid it with the kayfil tool. Any advice guys?

next time you fill it up try a primer toot with your finger over the air hole to start with. you should get a bubble rising and be good to go.. I have various Kfun clones, some need a pre toot some dont.

what phtumshk said. I often have to place finger over air hole and give quite a few toots to prime. Also try a good single whack with kayfun lite all together. It's a problem in the design not you. tagging a few others here to confirm and explain glen hijack

I'm having a similar problem with my genuine kayfun lite plus. Pretty much full time vaping on it since about may/june. Love it - but don't like the constant, every 3rd inhale, dry hits. Do the airflow thing and the whack (not same whack as for flooding). Have changed wick and wire? Is it dead? JAne PS jacq I'm just trying unscrewing the funnel by a tiny amount before putting this kayfun back together as everything else I've tried has failed miserably. Might also try a spare funnel at some point. Working well so far but has only been a few minutes. Worth a try?

Clean with rubbing alcohol perhaps? I don't knw jacq if the chimney has had it? (don't know) then fast tech is thy friend here

I dont know how full your filling it but Ive always found over filling is a recipe for dry hits. Until there is around a 1/4 tank of airspace when the relevant pressures become more balanced there is always a chance for dry hits. (don't know) then fast tech is thy friend hereI have found the clone chimneys are of a fatter diameter (at the narrow end) than the originals. try turning the barrel up side down and try the other end with the chimney.

Yeah I never knew until I got a good quality clone as Id previously made my own Kayfil tool & Its to fat to fit my good quality kfun but a kayfil tool proper is a perfect fit.

I tried changing my e-liquid mix last night from 50:50 PG/VG to 54:46 PG/VG - huge difference.....now flooding (just a little) and a lot easier to shift the KFun probs when you refill/rewick phtumshk - I had to improvise a home made Kfun fill tool the other month when I went to Ed vape meet without one. Needless to say I now have one on my key ring So yeah jacq - lots of things for you to try with your dry hits . but sure you'll get it sorted

My mix (e-liquid) is not liking the cold... Not even the RG400 likes it now!!! I figure something - don't vape outside ....take a plastic thingy and be at peace (have loads from ebay). Yes the cold might like a 70/30 mix (pg/vg) but my throat won't!!!!! Vape on guys!!!!
