At something of a tangent to this I once knew someone who claimed he had made alcohol by freezing rather than the normal boiling distillation process, based on the fact that distilling is based on things having different boiling points but they also have different freezing points Chemistry was never one of my strong points so of course this could be absolute rubbish!

Well it's kind of true - it's known as a minimum freezing azeotrope - the water freezes out partially and the remaining liquor has a higher concentration of the other component. Not sure if it works for alcohol, but certainly does for vinegar (maybe that's what he made ) Same happens during distillation, where the maximum boiling azoetrope has 4% water (iirc) - you can't make absolute alcohol just by distilling alone.

I have just bought the same Glycerine Macca, Now I have to decide how to use it.lol. I want to dilute the strength of the PG in some of my liquids as they are way too strong for my throat, how much Glycerine do I add to roughly 5mg of 24mg strength? #icon_hopeless#

I fI understand your question, you have a 24mg PG liquid and you want to know how much VG to get it down to 5mg? Put the other way around, how much liquid % gives me 5mg?
(5/24) x 100% = 20.8% of the juice and 79.2% of VG.
Which is quite a heavy dilution - I wouldn't expect it to taste of much after that.

Best way would be to buy same flavour zero mg strength 100% VG from the same supplier if they'll do it and mix a few drops at a time till it's ok for you. That way you won't lose flavour.
1ml will reduce it to 20mg strength.
2ml will reduce it to 17 mg strength.
3ml will reduce it to 15 mg strength.
4ml will reduce it to 13 mg strength.
5ml will reduce it to 12 mg strength.
Else add the glycerol you bought starting one ml at a time and see how it goes..It will mute the flavour of the juice this way and the more you add, the more muted the flavour will become.
