Greetings all, I am looking for a caramel custard recipe for my son. I currently mix him an Gvc clone with 7% salted caramel added. He wants more caramel! Shall I just keep upping the percentage ? Anyone got any recipes please?

funny enough i have been thinking about doing a salty caramel cheesecake. thinking along the lines of
nyc 6% salty caramel 8% bavarian cream 2% graham cracker 1% not sure if it would work but may have a bash next weekend unless others have a better plan of attack

Salted Caramel can be a bit of a coil gunker, so I'd be wary of upping the percentage of it becks . . . . how about keeping the GVC clone as the base but changing the Caramel that you use? My two favourites have always been TPA's Caramel Original ( more of a ' toasted ' caramel ) and FW's Caramel Candy ( like a Werther's creamy caramel ) . . . . . One on One's Caramel Candy is very similar in taste.

Thanks to all for the suggestions, I will give them all a go. Interesting about the salted caramel being a coil gunker the boy is always complaining about having to burn them off every two days. Incidentally, my wife bought some Tesco own brand salted caramel, has anyone tried it?

I make this for a mate of mine and he loves it:
3% Vienna Cream (FA) 1.5% Caramel (FA) 1.5% Caramel toffee (TPA)
If you prefer a stronger caramel I would increase the caramel toffee % as with all DIY play with it until your happy
Forgot to add, ok to shake n vape

This one @broadblaster? www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=289599620Although I haven't, wouldn't imagine it being overly strong myself . . . . FW & CCW's are the two that I've used - both very nice, both gunkers.

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions.
