From experience there isn't one. It depends on the resistance and what you enjoy. Generally if I have a resistance of .3 ohms (normally what I aim for with a dual clapton) I run 35 - 37 watts.

xtc263 - It all depends on the wire used, the diameter, and the ohms, but I would guess the answer would be somewhere between lots & turn it up some more

As the above replies.
Also the ramp up time with a Clapton is slower unless you have a mod that can preheat by delivering a short burst of a higher wattage for a limited time.
