I purchased these coils from 3fvape. www.3fvape.com/wick-wire-mesh/6866-authentic-pilot-vape-kanthal-a1-26-32-awg-pre-coiled-resistance-wire-for-rba-100-pcs-04mm-x-02mm-dia-05-ohm.html#.VkYLueL86JoThey do a variety of styles and pack sizes so prices vary just search for Pilot vape on the site to find all the styles available.
I really just bought these coils on a whim i've been winding my own claptons for a while so i'm pretty used to it but it's still a pain in the rear getting a drill, straightening a core, wrapping the outer layer, it's not really difficult just time consuming so i thought i would see what these premade coils were like they looked good in the pictures so worth a punt. I'm pleasantly surprised they're really good quality coils, the clapton wraps are wound nice and uniform and tight and the coils themselves are wound nicely too. Honestly i don't think i'll be making my own claptons from now on if the quality and price remains the same on these, so much less hassle to just grab a couple of coils from a pot and throw them on a dripper. I'm now off to disconnect the smoke alarm for a while and have a good fogging session.

Get Off My Cloud on the close up it doesn't look like the 32 gauge is wrapped very close to each other ? What's the price like compared to a roll of UD premade clapton coil?

Yeah they are wrapped tight it's just the photo mate, the light was bad so i was using the flash on my phone and the shadows cast make it look like there's big gaps but there isn't. This pack was $18.69 which translates right now to £12.36 for 100 coils so between 12p and 12.5p per coil. It's on sale at the moment but the usual price for 15ft of the same gauge wire by Youde is £5.21 at Gearbest which was the only Chinese site i could find selling the same gauge. I've uncoiled one of these premade ones and they use about 4 inches of wire so out of one of those youde spools assuming you make the coil to the same spec then you'll get 45 coils. So you're probably paying just over a quid for them to make all the coils for you.

Get Off My Cloud will I be ok using the aspire pegusus 70w with velocity and these coils? If you bought the exact same coils as i did then yes the Aspire will fire down to 0.2ohms. A dual coil build with these coils will come in at about 0.25ohms so you'll just about be ok.

Get Off My Cloud velocity arrived today with the Clapton coils and fibre freaks cotton I'm running it on the Pegasus at 65 watts dual coils coming out at 0.25 Getting some lovely clouds and flavour The question is what difference would it make if I buy the 150 watt mod that you mentioned above? And 1 more can I use this in t/c mode? and what's the difference with that. Thanks for your help I'm relatively new to all this coils , mods and rda's Any other advice I would gladly take on board, you seem to know your stuff

Thanks for your help I'm relatively new to all this coils , mods and rda's Any other advice I would gladly take on board, you seem to know your stuff Yeah saw your thread mate First advantage is the obvious that you could run at higher watts if you want. Second would be that being dual battery you'll get a longer battery life between charges, single 18650 mods tend to drain pretty fast above 50W. No you can't use those coils in TC mode, The Pegasus only does TC with Nickel or Titanium coils. The quick explanation would be that TC works by measuring the resistance of the coil, as the coil gets hotter the resistance rises so the mod calculates the temperature of the coil by constantly monitoring the resistance of the coil, once it gets up to the set temperature it will automatically drop the power off so the coil doesn't get hotter than where you have set the temperature for. Because the resistance change with Kanthal is very small and it also doesn't rise in a consistent curve it's not really suitable for TC vaping. 3fvape do clapton coiled Nickel wire but they don't do the ready made coils in Nickel. www.3fvape.com/wick-wire-mesh/6298-authentic-pilot-vape-26-32-awg-ni200-nickel-coiled-heating-wire-for-rba-rta-rda-silver-04-x-02-x-5m.htmlI'm sure someone could give you better advice with regard to Nickel or Titanium coils i don't personally like TC, i find the flavour to be muted and vapour production to be less dense than regular VW mode so i don't really bother with it much.

Cheers Get Off My Cloud that's good info, because your right the battery just flys down with that velocity at 65 watts. Right that's it then I'm buying one I'm happy with it not in t/c mode, just wondered what it was all about, plus I hate messing about with the wires, so just bought 2 of them boxes ready made Clapton that you bought Thanks anyway for your info much appreciated smiley76
