A couple of weekends back I was up visiting my sister for my nephews baptism.
While there I was talking at length with my sister about why she'd fallen back out of e cig use and was again 100% on analogues. Basically it came down to battery capacity in part along with throat hit and flavour. Last year I'd suggested she get a riva kit (which she got in pink of course since it matched her handbag). This was what she was using, but stuck with the normal atty and cartridge setup. She wasn't getting satisfaction from it so slowly lapsed from using it. I had explained she could get other atty types but she hadn't remembered that bit.
I deliberately went up with various bits and bobs so she could try out other kit. With no surprises on my part she found CE3's and I06 style attys were much better for flavour, throat hit and vapour production. We then spent several hours with me leading her round the vendors sites looking at deals and explaining the differences (that I knew of) between the different kits. She then decided on some new kit and was going to order it the following tuesday.
On the Sunday evening I forced her to watch VTTV for the first time (she now views it regularly incidentally). It was of course the run up to World Vaping Day so I knew there were many competitions running. She entered the comp that first night and won (Grumble, beginners luck). Now the prize was a Janty Neo Classic which was one of the last few finalists in her earlier trawl through the vendor sites. This is excellent as it saved her buying a kit, and of course the puromizers will work on her existing riva batteries.
On world vaping day itself there were ten kits given away and she won one of those too (Deeper Grumble, using up all the family luck).
She got all that kit (2 silver and 2 black auto neo batteries and 4 puromizers) yesterday and is really enjoying them. Also she bought some RY4 after she tried mine rather than the generic tobacco flavour she'd tried before.
I hope she keeps using the kit and can reduce her analogues intake. It also shows how someone demonstrating different kit can open a new users eyes. It also shows that the advances in e cigs are hopefully going to improve peoples experiences when they start.

Congratulations to your Sister Verey - sounds like the prizes she won where meant for her I couldn't agree more re demonstrating a kit, either via VTTV, various videos or in real life
